Today we continue to focus on fabrication. Now that I've purchased the motor, link here: amzn.to/3j2BHUs, and battery, link here: amzn.to/3UTdz3S, I've been able to get most of the fabrication done for the project so far. I've finally finished fabricating the battery mount on top of the frame. This will replace the gas tank which I don't intend on using for this project.
I've also gotten the rear sprocket onto the rear wheel and finally was able to take the bike for a test ride. So far - it tops out around 10-15 MPH. I believe my problem right now is the controller is limiting me to 33A and thus I'm only able to use about 3/4 the power of the motor. If anyone has any advice to increase speed let me know. I've already started tinkering with the gear ratio but it hasn't changed much.
