Absolutely Beautiful. By the date mark between the on and off marking below the selector it looks like a 1948 or 1958. If you’re new to old ratchets you have 2 routes you can take 1. clean up the old parts and put it back together or 2 get a rebuild kit. Factory Rebuild kits a cheap and worth it. That ring inside the ratchet is a wear item and so is the anvil, that’s where the slop and wiggle come from. You’ll get all new parts in the kit and you’ll just knock out that old ring with a punch and hammer in the new one with a old socket. Also it’ll come with the right grease that you paint on lightly on all the parts otherwise that style ratchet will have a sticky feeling. Also no need for the locktite, it won’t come apart. You’ll need to pull the parts and clean and regrease depending on how often you use it but I do it once a year for fun. The kit will come with a dust cover that you may or may not be able to use. After the new parts it’ll feel amazing.
