We left the trucks parked in the bush,unloaded the old Vintage sleds and fight to keep ourselves and the dogs warm at -35 for this sled trip riding old vintage snowmobiles Rupp,Sno Jet,Arctic Cat Pantera...
We are trying to get to a cabin in the woods to spend the first night there.
With no cell service we hit the trail...

I ride the old stuff but a couple years back I had to break down and buy a modern carbon fiber full face helmet with a breath deflector for those sub zero *F rides! I do like your "custom painted" Rupp lid.:) I still have an 80's era open face Ski Doo helmet I got for my 14th birthday, with my name stickered on back in those little numbers you would put your name on the mail box with. As far as Tillotsons I must have a lucky touch as I haven't ever really had problems with them.

I often never even wore a helmet but as they say young and dumb... lol Ya that Rupp helmet got painted just for a joke and I had another I dif the same to and it said Rupp as well. Lol I’m pretty sure with the tilotson carbs it’s the check valves that go. The ethanol fuel here in Canada most likely had to do with those failing. I woukd rebuild the carb but they still would not run and it was always an over fueling issue so that would make sense if the check valve was leaking. I heard they sell kits with those check valves now though. In this case that Rupp ran great. I like the idea of being able to adjust it on the fly as we have such temperature and elevation changes here.
