That chandelier is the best light source (when filled with candles) in the game, barring direct sunlight, which makes it really good find. It has brightness of 24 where as lanterns are 18, 20 at max I think? I think luxuries trader sells tapestries and paintings. They can also be found in some underground ruins in addition of carpets. You can make via clay forming flower pots and planters to put flowers, mushrooms, cattails/tule, or tree saplings into them. I think you can make rush mats from cattails? There are display cases where you can put variety of things like sea shells, gems, ore chunks, and butterflies. Yes, you can catch butterflies in this game. Deep underground, you can find variety of stones types. There 20 different stone variants (Andesite, Basalt, Bauxite, Chalk, Chert, Claystone, Conglomerate, Granite, Halite, Kimberlite, Limestone, Marble (white, pink cream or green), Obsidian, Peridotite, Phyllite, Sandstone, Scoria, Shale, Slate, Suevite and Tuff), some of which when made into polished stone can be quite vivid in color. By taking so called 'core samples' by digging directly down to mantle you can find out what stones there are in the area. If you do that, just stock up on ladders. Additionally, you can make hardened clay blocks from blue and fire clay on fire pit; 8 pieces of clay is required to make 1 block. Ransacking ruins can get you blocks that you cannot make yourself. Traveling to deep south is the best bet to find different trees, such as acasia, purpleheart, kapok and ebony. Though you'll likely going to have a very long travel to south, if you have standard 100k polar-equator distance. If you talk to treasure hunter trader and keep close eye on what he says, you might get send on the trail of something BIG.

seems like I need to locate more traders then, and find a way of getting just a crazy amount of money

based on where you started the biggest change is going to be south. but remember the scope of the map. the equator to pole distance 50k-100k will tell you how far south you need to go. sure north is ice but not much change in tree types polar bears are fun (not) they can climb one block higher. but south much more change in colors i.e. trees. rock type is scattered so you never know until you get there. thanks for sharing.

so venturing north isn't really worth it but venturing south is good to know!

@@Skrittleplays You can go either north or south as the world wraps on that axis. So north pole -> equator -> south pole -> equator -> north pole, repeated until the edge of the world.
