Your going to think I'm crazy, but I see it as a side view of a bride where you glued the appliqué on. It's beautiful. As far as the sewing it doesn't matter to me. I personally think it's not an important thing to see. Thanks for sharing such a great idea 💡. ❤❤❤

The cover on this is absolutely stunning. I'm learning journal techniques and am having so much fun. I've been a crafter, oil painter, furniture painter, decorator, writer, antiques dealer, and just about everything else in my 73 years but had never heard of junk journals until last winter. Wow, where have I been? Watching RU-vid videos is so much fun, and this is the prettiest cover I've seen done. You are very talented, and it seemed so easy for you. 💕💞

Love this project! Cathy, I was wondering, do you purchase you sari silk ribbon pre-dyed? Have you ever purchased white and dyed your own for custom projects? Would you use Tim Holtz inks, or like Rit Dye, or something else to dye it? Or, where do you purchase your pre-dyed sari ribbon? Love your ideas and suggestions! I just finished the “tag journal”. I love it!!

Hey Cathy! Love all your covers. Where do you get the laces and doilies? I'm in same city you are (we met at RFCU). I can find ribbons and some wider laces, but no luck finding the type of thing you're using with this cover, or old doilies/hankies.

Beautiful pages. I think the noise of the machine is too distracting, plus you can't really see what you are doing from the top. Love the added touch of the sewing though!
