In this episode of Vintage Tech we look at a vintage 1984 boom-box built by AIWA, a CA-30.
The tape drive wasn't working at all, it turns out the motor had seized and catastrophically melted its innards at some point.
I replaced the motor with one from an AIWA AD-F810, as I just had spare parts for that deck sent to me.
