Another great video Deano! Sorry to hear about the passing of your step father. The hours of effort you put in the channel im sure are appreciated from by all your subscribers. Did your mum own any other Kirbys and what happened to her Heritage 2? Looking forward to see more on that awful G6 you just bought 😀
My mom still has Heritage 2 as far as I know , but sadly she bought a vax . She had a shark before the vax but had nothing but bad customer service from shark as H2 is a little heavy to push for her now .
My condolences for the lost of your stepfather. It was a nice dedication to him using the Heritage. A nice heritage and remembrance of him. I was you and your family strength for the coming time.
@@KirbyEnthusiast I am a content creator also so I spend a lot of time on youtube and never miss an upload. I will shoot a vid when we buy one, do you have any advice on vintage Kirby's?
Thank you for kind words , this was a turning point in my RU-vid journey , hoping I’m making him proud of me from heaven . Thankyou for supporting my channel really appreciate the support. 👍
Hi Dean, I thoroughly enjoyed watching the latest video, and know your step dad will be very proud of you and what you have achieved with the channel and the information you have passed on to all of us. Keep the good work up, and accept my deepest sympathy.
Thanks so much for your great supportive comment, everyone has been so supportive . I will grow this to the biggest Kirby channel I memory of my step father .May he rest in peace
I've just got one of these fully refurbished from another collector. While I'm blown away by it's cleaning ability and sheer quality of every inch of the vacuum and tools, I just find it all too inconvenient to use and it's very heavy. With that being said I do like the idea of having a tool for literally every job and a total cleaning system which no other manufacture can offer, but for me personally not having at least an on-board hose is a huge no no. I like quick and easy. Maybe I don't understand the whole Kirby vibe but that's just my personal preference. P.s the shampooer really intrigues me so I will be using that at some point and do a video demonstration.
All good buddy thanks , been 2 yrs now . I couldn’t get back for funeral due to covid restrictions at the time . Which now makes me mad as they were pointless. Caused more damage than good .
We had one of these growing up. And it's still running...we never knew what all the attachments were for as kids...like the canister handle, we did play with it as a toy . And I just saved one from the scrap man. needs rebuild though
Great Kirby , this was a given to me by my daughter in law she hit it for free off a buy swap sell site , came up awesome on refurb and runs a dream with original brush roll
My condolences on your loss. Great video. Glad you made it through using the Dyson. I would have lasted only ten minutes. Keep up the great content and look forward to what’s to come. Thank you KE.
Your so welcome .Thanks for your continued support and kind words . It’s hard not being able to go back for the funeral. Due to the Covid situation in the Uk
So as a test, I cleaned a swath of carpet in the unfinished portion of our laundry room, it’s basically there just to catch lint and anything else that comes out of the dryer or sucked into the basement by the HVAC. I went over the whole thing quickly with just suction with my shark to get any big things off. Then I went over half of it with the Shark with the brush on. The other half I did with the Kirby Avalir 2. Then I went over the whole thing with the Shark again. The half I did with the Kirby basically picked up nothing, but the second try on the half done by the Shark picked up a lot more. Further evidence that a Kirby is properly engineered. I mostly use the Shark to sort of pre-vacuum to save bags some.
I have been watching a lot of your great videos. I really enjoyed this series. I felt the pain of Dyson stretch hose. Keep doing good work👍 Sorry about your step father.
Yep I put new bearings suction fan and motor brushes and one just maybe I may have put 4 row brush roller and then I traded it for a 1985 Chevy chevette two-door cs
I have one of these myself along with a 3cb Tradition, both are fantastic, but I do believe the Tradition is more powerful than the Heritage II, but I do like the double row brush roll on the Heritage II than the single row of the Tradition.
It had the metal fan in it then I changed it to the lexan they have roller bearing cap ends with the adjuster screws you should be able to put any g-series brush roller into any Kirby head well from the dual sanitronic 80 unless you have an Kirby with the apartment head on it it sucked harder after I put the new style fan on stick a toothpick in the safety switch on the front then put your head on put anti seize grease oil anything on your screw threads the oldest Kirby I have is 55 or 58 and I can't get the screws out
Unfortunately the close-up views were often blocked. I would rather see how the dust and dirt is dislodged on the sofa instead of watching it being vacuumed from across the room.
