Jo Ann things are looking great. I love your red transferware. The black furniture looks good but I understand wanting something lighter. Do what you will enjoy the most. Hi Joann, love the garland you made with the fabric, lace and ribbon. Using that fabric as your "theme" will make your décor unique and cohesive with the added benefit that you love it! I've seen some folks use peel and stick wallpaper or even scrapbook paper to give "life" and color to the backs of shelves, this might be an easy way for you to test color options. Another idea to test color(s) out is to use sample paint on scrap wood and see what you think before making a big commitment.

Hi JoAnn! I love your tablecloth!! I think you should move the furniture around. Move the table the other way…. Paint the hutch but leave the wood top but paint it a very light gray or off white color. Paint the shelf the same color too. I would rearrange all the furniture though. Just a thought if you are wanting to change things up. No matter what, your home is always beautiful!! ❤❤

Hi there! We actually did try a rearrange of the furniture and the table is too long lol but that’s okay, I think I’ve got it figured out for now lol😂 I do think I’ll be painting the hutch and shelf antique gray! ♥️🥰

Girlfriend I feel ya! It has taken me a month to get my house back in order. I would get so overwhelmed that I would shut down lol I finally finished yesterday! Your home always looks beautiful and I’m sure that it will be amazing for Valentine’s Day!❤❤❤

Honestly, I am loving how it’s turning out I love dark tone word, but if you did wanna change it to a different color what about like off white or even a ivory color so that it brightens up the room more but it’s not I just absolutely love it the way it is And the table cloth that you have the fabric is gorgeous!

Thanks Jessica! I still haven’t really made up my mind on the painting lol but until I’m more sure of wanting to do it, they will stay black lol 😂 I am OBSESSED with this fabric lol, I’m shocked that it’s the one thing that pulled my out of my decorators block! ♥️♥️♥️

I think it's great to do things in your own time and if you don't enjoy doing it what is the point of it....that's what I think anyway. You mentioned the dining area feels heavy and you aren't sure where you want to take it but didn't mention what you're thinking of. Do you think you want to repaint furniture or walls, or remove large items and replace with smaller furniture pieces? Where do you think you may want to take things? I love a good black furniture piece but painting a piece is an easy and quick way to brighten and lighten a space up.

Hi Jen, I’m thinking of painting the hutch an antique gray. Life has been so hectic this month and I’m definitely a bit overwhelmed with work and family so my thoughts are all over the place lol. I’ve had so little time to even be home this month, at first I started to feel rushed because I wanted to have content and I think our decor can be a reflection of our emotions so I’m just not making any changes until I sort out how I feel in the space after life calms down if that makes sense.
