I remember getting Hulk and Big John Stud for my birthday back in ‘85. The following Christmas brought the likes of Roddy, JYD, and the Sheik. - My dad waited until I was done opening all of my gifts. I was so happy with everything but he told me that there was one more gift waiting on the kitchen table. - It was the ring. Awesome times. - I’ll never forget my big sister putting the ring together and sticking one of the cameraman stickers upside down on accident. Lol. Great times.

Love taking the trip down memory lane, such simplistic times! The imagination when sitting on the floor playing with your action figures is something that seems lost from today’s fast moving youth, I’m very grateful to have grown up during these simpler times.

I'm 46, and had these wrestling dolls/figures as a kid, and we would take them to elementary school and wrestle 'em and trade 'em. So wish I had them to day.

I remember trading Jake the Snake for long haired Andre, Paul Ordorff, and Greg Valentine. I made out like a bandit on that trade lol. The other kid wanted Jake so bad that he offered me three figures for one.

@@FigHeel yes they are. I still collect them. Seems like in the past a lot of people didn't like them because of the paint wear problems, lack of detail but all that's changed and they are highly valuable.

My first was Hulk Hogan and I didn’t want him at first I wanted the Iron Sheik but they were sold out. I ultimately created a nice collection of figures. Memories

My first two LJNs were Hulk Hogan and Nikolai Volkoff. Got them for Christmas of 1985. I also got the Hogan and Volkoff thumb wrestlers that Christmas.

This is awesome footage! I remember the thumb wrestlers. It ended up in a real wrestling match / fight, because the others and I would never agree on who would have the upper hand haha

First 3 I got were Hogan, Sheik, and Piper. Opened them, took the belt off Hogan, put it on Piper.

I would play with these figures for hours i remember having the wwf wrestling album on tape and i would play hogans real american entrance music while walking the hogan figure to the ring then i would take a red majic marker and bloody up his face and as soon as the paint wore off of my ljns id go to toys r us and get new ones it was a great time to be a kid

There is a rarely seen 1st version of the "Bring home all the action" commercial with the LJN dolls photographed full scale to include their feet instead of waist up as seen in this video.

@@FigHeel It was only on for a few airings and then switched to the close up waist up version. These were my favorite WWF figure line. Poorly painted, not well sculpted, false advertising as none could move or bend, but at 10 years old in 85 these were the best things they could make back then. These imperfections make them more desirable as compared to today's big budget scanner system where the toys look better on a shelf than played with.

The George Steele figure looks decent, but the Steamboat figure that was released was a huge letdown. The most plain looking figure in the entire line. Black hair, black headband, and black tights. So boring.
