Thanks for sharing the Bert Jansch albums George. He is one artist that I would have loved to have seen in a live setting. Preferably a theater with superb acoustics. He is one of the all time best. Fabulous selections. Thanks for all of the info G~
Hi George. The thumbnail of night bird brought me here. I’m not an intentional collector of audiophile pressings so when I happen to come across something that has been recorded and pressed so well, it’s a real treat. Night bird is one of those records for me. The sound engineer at that gig deserves a raise! Cheers
That was amazing, the outfit worn at the beginning by the jazz singer is the exact same one I bought my wife. It looked much better ont he singer than my wife, she is still a little miffed at me. Some folk and jazz. Someday I will try a Jansch album, don’t know when but someday George.
Great vid George, I found third man have some serious QC issues. Mel Brown's chicken fat sounded gr8 but it was a filthy grimy record. Will check out the others.. that Nightbird is a very special piece of plastic, My word, it sounds fantastic. Perfect record and a treasure in my collection. I think she's so versatile and who knows what she could have done had she lived. ..so painfully shy though, she worked in a garden centre!! Unbelievable ! Thanks again mate as always!
Thanks for the informative video! I’ve been a big fan of Eva since the 90’s, Napster time. I have her Song Bird LP from S&P from 2003, great sounding album, and of course I have every cd that came out back in the day. Do you recommend Night Bird, I haven’t bought it yet? Also, I’m a big fan of Michael Hedges, and you were right I’ve never seen this album in US. I was in a concert in the early 2000’s and my best audio friend, who knew Michael, pointed out to this lady next to us, he said this is Michael’s sister. Michael’s guitar is what I go to when I demonstrate my audio system in last 25 yrs. Both Eva and Michael have passed, but their music will last forever. Great job, enjoyed your videos!
Hi this Eva Cassidy lp is excellent as a single lp or this 4lp. Analogue productions done a 7 lp I bet it’s amazing. Yes well recommend. That’s amazing you seen Michael hedges unfortunately I never seen him yip this is a uk comp. I have all his vinyl lps and his three or four cds. Your right definitely a demo record on the system.
@@scottspinner1 I got to see Kaki King open for Keb Mo. she plays Hedges’ style and was the one who played the pieces on the movie August Rush. I didn’t get to see Hedges, but met his sister. I’ll get Eva’s album soon. Thanks
You’re still finding loads George. How often do you play them? Once and then into collection. I am struggling with buying stuff that I don’t play often enough
@@chrismoyse3529 I’m on my own these days. So it’s easy for me I don’t watch the telly really. I pay a lot for my hifi and lps so I get my moneys worth.
