Thanks for sharing the Bert Jansch albums George. He is one artist that I would have loved to have seen in a live setting. Preferably a theater with superb acoustics. He is one of the all time best. Fabulous selections. Thanks for all of the info G~

Thanks rob yes he passed me right by at the time. To think he was playing local a lot of the time. But hey ho. New wave was my thing back then.

Hi George. The thumbnail of night bird brought me here. I’m not an intentional collector of audiophile pressings so when I happen to come across something that has been recorded and pressed so well, it’s a real treat. Night bird is one of those records for me. The sound engineer at that gig deserves a raise! Cheers

I bet that Lady Blackbird concert was great as I love her voice. I also love the beautiful voice of Eva Cassidy.

Yes great gig Randy wasn’t a long gig with only one lp behind her and no support. Eva yes what a voice glad to finally get her in the collection.

Thanks for video George. I loved Lady Blackbird gig too. And thought the band was fantastic. I've got you to thank for making me aware of her.

That was amazing,the outfit worn at the beginning by the jazz singer is the exact same one I bought my wife. It looked much better ont he singer than my wife, she is still a little miffed at me. Some folk and jazz. Someday I will try a Jansch album, don’t know when but someday George.

Hi Steve some outfit eh she wore a mask also don’t know if you got that for your wife. Her tits kept falling out. Bert jansch and pentangle are ace.

Hi George. I only really know the very early Bert Jansch albums, never see his stuff around. His voice is quite droney but I do like it.

Hi James yip I like his singing also fits the music. Normally I do like a good singers voice. It’s another instrument.

Great vid George, I found third man have some serious QC issues. Mel Brown's chicken fat sounded gr8 but it was a filthy grimy record. Will check out the others.. that Nightbird is a very special piece of plastic, My word, it sounds fantastic. Perfect record and a treasure in my collection. I think she's so versatile and who knows what she could have done had she lived. ..so painfully shy though, she worked in a garden centre!! Unbelievable ! Thanks again mate as always!

Cheers mark. Yes I think third man are not in the same league as rti. But hey ho. Yes eve Cassidy what a treasure not to see her fame. Such a shame.

Nightbird's a great record. I got the CD when it was released but the LP would be great, I'm sure!

Thanks for the informative video! I’ve been a big fan of Eva since the 90’s, Napster time. I have her Song Bird LP from S&P from 2003, great sounding album, and of course I have every cd that came out back in the day. Do you recommend Night Bird, I haven’t bought it yet? Also, I’m a big fan of Michael Hedges, and you were right I’ve never seen this album in US. I was in a concert in the early 2000’s and my best audio friend, who knew Michael, pointed out to this lady next to us, he said this is Michael’s sister. Michael’s guitar is what I go to when I demonstrate my audio system in last 25 yrs. Both Eva and Michael have passed, but their music will last forever. Great job, enjoyed your videos!

@@scottspinner1 I got to see Kaki King open for Keb Mo. she plays Hedges’ style and was the one who played the pieces on the movie August Rush. I didn’t get to see Hedges, but met his sister. I’ll get Eva’s album soon. Thanks

You’re still finding loads George. How often do you play them? Once and then into collection. I am struggling with buying stuff that I don’t play often enough
@scottspinner1
@scottspinner1 Год назад
Hi chris no I play them lots. Probably listen to five lps a day so a batch will stay in rotation for two weeks or longer.

@@chrismoyse3529 I’m on my own these days. So it’s easy for me I don’t watch the telly really. I pay a lot for my hifi and lps so I get my moneys worth.
