Hey! Did I spot Bass Rock? I do like those Judee Sill albums. I discovered those due to the West Coast Rock connections, with appearances from members of the Flying Burrito Brothers, the Dillards and Rita Coolidge and Gloria Jones doing some backing vocals. Most folks tend to like her first album better, but I'm contrary and dig Heart Food best...Mainly because of some lovely pedal steel guitar from the legendary Buddy Emmons. Cheers - Hedley
Wow what an opening, cold and powerful looking. Most of what you showed I do not know. I just got 5 jazz albums from Third Man Records. I did a tour of their pressing plant and they gave me a bunch of albums including jazz. I will actually have more jazz to show if I have time before I box them up!
Wow George. Those are some gem listens for sure. I do have an original pressing of Search for the New Land. I have never seen a copy of Verona Rag shown in the VC. You are the first. Super solid choices G~ Rob/Boston
Congratulations on getting the Judy Sill records. I'm a big Zoot Sims fan. I've got that Mode For Joe album! I'd love to hear Lee Konitz playing with Andrew Hill. That was a cool spotlight on Andrew. Thanks for showing the records (and CD)!
Nice scenery George. I have the two Judee Sill MOV presses, which are pretty good. As you say a troubled soul...I'm thinking about getting the Lee Morgan...Not seen it anywhere near £23 though, you did well there
Nice one George my inlaws grew up in North Berwick before moving to Linlithgow, we love the place! Great finds, i love Black Fire and Passing ships (I'll have to look up Compulsion and those others). Ive managed to bag an Art Pepper and Archie Shepp recently so another vid coming soon! Cheers mate
Hi mark well spotted. You married a scotty. I remember you had family up here. Compulsion. Not his easiest lp. The lee Morgan nice blue note. Look forward to your vid.
Have you played your Lee Morgan? I've had 4 copies, 2 from Amazon, 2 from independent online resellers all edge warped and unplayable. I have 93 Classics and 83 Tone Poets all perfect but this one is a dog, similar issues reported on Discogs & Amazon.
The Lee Morgan album is fantastic. I'm very pleased they reissued that. The title track features heavily on a documentary about Lee Morgan that I saw a few years back.
Wow George what amazing scenery. I love a bit of unspoilt coastline you are very lucky to have that close by! Compulsion we really need that Tone Poet in 2025 for sure. So which is the best of the solo piano Andrew Hill do you think? Cheers

What an opening!!! I could watch that all day. Beautiful. I’ll have to check out the first LP. Sounds nice. The Zoot LP would fit in nicely with my Impulse albums! Great Lee and Joe LPs. I need more Andrew Hill albums. They are always interesting. Have a good one!
Thanks Bradley quite wild out here sometimes ready to rain but not too bad for a walk. The zoot lp is a nice cheap and cheerful impulse. Judee sill died too young trouble woman. Yes the two blue notes worth checking out especially lee Morgan.
