What did YOU pick up recently that you're spinning a lot? Also, any album or band recommendations for me, if you’ve got those. Leave all of that, and anything else that makes sense, in the comments below.

Helm’s Deep is the best new band I’ve heard in over 20 years.

I really like that new Saxon album! It’s really fun and doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Picked up the reissue of Aeternus's Dark Sorcery EP and it still holds up well considering it was first released in 1995. Debut Lucifer album still my favorite too.

the single from Fugitive is so good as well. being a fan of hardcore, Power Trip, and Gatecreeper, that band is all I could ask for and more. still gotta pick it up tho, I'm definitely slacking

props for the Vektor re-issue.....I disagree with the Voivod comparison though, never understood it outside the logo (they are fans, I know), but the Coroner comparison is much closer I think. Blackened progressive thrash gumbo and I love it so much.

Lucifer is great. The Oath was a good band too.

For the longest time Nile is another band I didn't bother with for some reason but gave them another chance and it finally hit. Also their back catalog finally started getting reissued by relapse records. Suppose to have new album out this year hopefully.

I keep hearing about fugitive. I’m going to grab that Maniac lp. It looks good.

Recently, I got that Bewitcher compilation, as well as their “Too Fast for the Flames” 7-inch (because I wanted that W.A.S.P. cover so bad!) Also, I just ordered WARLOCKS GRIM… by Hellripper. So glad I was able to find a copy. I was afraid that I might have to go international to obtain that record. Saxon’s newest is so damn good! It’s a keeper, for sure.

I love these videos, I always find something I want as well, nice albums, congrats. This time I had to order Helms Deep right away, even got the Die Hard Version with an addition to my patch collection, looking forward to get it in a few weeks. What a fantastic cover, even without your positive review I could not have resisted to get it. Don't know how many albums I simply bought because of the cover. I also need to get the new Saxon before the live gig with Judas Priest in summer so I can sing along. Currently spinnig in constant rotation is the 40th anniversary of Slayer's debut album on my turntable, what a nice trip down memory lane. It also means I listen to Metal since more than 40 years. Have you ever asked yourself if you will listen to Extreme Metal when you are 70? Looks like I am on a good way doing that.
