[Intro] Time can never mend The careless whispers of a good friend To the heart and mind, ignorance is kind There's no comfort in the truth, pain is all that you'll find Should have known better, yeah [Verse 1] I feel so unsure As I take your hand and lead you to the dance floor As the music dies, something in your eyes Calls to mind a silver screen and all its sad goodbyes [Chorus] I'm never gonna dance again, guilty feet have got no rhythm Though it's easy to pretend, I know you're not a fool I should have known better than to cheat a friend And waste a chance that I'd been given So I'm never gonna dance again the way I danced with you [Post-Chorus] Never without your love [Bridge] Tonight the music seems so loud I wish that we could lose this crowd Maybe it's better this way We'd hurt each other with the things we want to say We could have been so good together We could have lived this dance forever But now who's gonna dance with me? Please stay [Outro] Now that you're gone, was what I did so wrong, so wrong That you had to leave me alone?
I love this song. I Never get tired of hearing it. I can only imagine what George would have been composing and singing now. Forever, George will be missed. 👍
@@Schlipperschlopper ... that AND the wonderful (rare!) Dutch Philips GP422/2 element... my Philips GP412 (NOS) being it’s slightly lesser brother ;). All in all, beautiful song, wonderful recording. Keep it up!
@@philyvo The 4 channel shibata needle D68 from 422 also fits to the 412 generator...you can get a very decent japanese made shibata D68 substitute from Tonar, using it makes the 412 singing :-)
There is a lot of compression built into the mastering of today's music and remasters of yore. If you think it is so good from this end after going from AD and DA again, with a YT compression transcription in-between, you have to imagine how great it sounds on the YT uploader's end, playing directly through the HiFi analogue system in real time. People have forgotten what a good analogue recording sounds like. We've sold out sound quality for convenience and this, right here, is just a taste of what we once had. I'd rather quality over quantity and convenience any day of the week.
Such a beautiful song sung by an extremely talented musician and the saxophone wow it's mind blowing 👏👏👏👏 I'm no a fan of wham but I do utterly and totally respect talent n George Michael had shed loads of it RIP George ❤️
Man, I know that a lot of comments have been written before about it, but allows me to be repetitive once again: what an a oustanding sound you get from this fantastic turntable! Congratulations and many thanks for sharing.
as an 80s teenager, this was the best version of a classic song. So many memories attached to it, and I've still got the picture disk. An absolute classic.
Thank you very much for your channel. I am a mastering enginee for 45 years and I completely enjoy hearing the music much closer to intended than any subsequent release. One exception is the 2018 mix of pink floyd Animals on vinyl. It is superb. Looking forward to hearing it on the table, cart, phonograph pre you like best. I was shocked at how a premium power cable and bypassing a power strip improved my playback on the mastering system. I use advanced transduction loudspeakers which I design and build.
That's what vinyl can do to a person. Now, imagine how good it sounds on his end..........much better before the multiple analog to digital and digital back to analog conversions, not to mention the degrading YT compression algorithm in between. Yes, much better!
Mein Herr Maestro this is absolute perfection in every way , every instrument is crystal clear . Literally music to my tired old ears Bravissimo 👌Maestro
I was never really a fan of George Michael... I came to his music after he passed away. I have never heard "Careless Whisper" sound this clear and warm. Thanks again Schipperschlopper. You've done it again.. First with Karen Carpenter and now this... Keep'em coming man!

When the sax solo finally comes in at 1:28....I've re-wound the clip 5 times...the only thing he mentions prior to is...."should have known better" POWERFUL
Herr Schlipperschlopper! This is truly amazing. Analog on vinyl sounds like nothing else, and especially on this turntable. Great flow, great bass, great speed stability. Wow. So enjoyable. Thank you for posting these.
The good old 1960s broadcast quality :-) (This old machine has a great resonance control due to a medium heavy one piece high density hollow cast aluminium tonearm, made in a piston factory near stuttgart (MAHLE) and great bearings all around, so complete energy of detected sound is converted into the electrical signal and not vibrations.
Thats great, I always use HQ German Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro headphones for sound checkings and recordings (same as the studio guys at the broadcast stations)
Thank you, thats the good old german radio broadcast sound from the 1960s and 70s, I only use this kind of HQ oldschool stuff, even the open reel taperecorder under the table is a restored 1971 UHER Royal deluxe studio machine (No AUDACITY or cheap soundcard use on my videos) :-)
@@Schlipperschlopper If you don't use a "cheap soundcard", what souncard (or computer) do you use? I've heard microphone preamp a/d (like RME Fireface or Babyface) work well. Yes, Audacity is not ideal, but Channel D Pure Vinyl (software) is purpose-built for analog capture. In any case, super sound in your uploads -- thx!!!
Even with the transformation of the sound in MP3 , still sounds great ! Thank you to share !! I'm making studio monitors since 25 years , but this LP never came around ...
Thanks, yes the upload on youtube and their shitty conversion to MP3 (or AAC?) makes the sound more sharp at the upper end and reduces the bass, in reality the sound is even much smoother and with a better bass.
I love this song.... their absolutely incredible record players, especially the soviet one, which i didn't imagine had such an audio quality...I'm from Brazil, I live in Sao Paulo, I don't know if you know it. I'm vinyl maniac too and I have a few here too, including 70's Earth wind fire, Alan Parson's Project every collection that came out on vinyl, Sandra maria Magdalena Single 12in, Pet Shop Boys Introspective, Pink Floyd The Dark side of Moon 73 Stereo and 74 quadraphonic...The Black Sabath 1970 and the Paranoid these are just a few Outside Fleetwood mac Rumors1977 ,The Who Who's next and close Michael Jackson Thriller 1983 My turntable is an audiotechnica model AT 120 USB capsule and needle of the same brand as the original turntable.
Recording to my analogue reel to reel recorder @ 19 cm/sec on 1970s AGFA Studio tape material separately from the video than mixing sound and video signals on an older HQ Video PC Workstation with good soundcard. Sampling to WAV / DAT 48 KHZ 16 Bit quality (Not higher) because the RU-vid upload MP3 encoder works/sounds best when uploading in medium digital non compressed quality...dont upload in MP3! Dont upload in lossless 96 KHZ... ;-)
