Sweet update man, I always enjoy a lot of these videos and it's no worries for me and I am going to be looking forward to see you again when the moment is here. I am glad to see the progression and work you've put in the videos and take your time with each one for the channel. How about if it works out what would you think of collaborative reviews?
Your masters is more important mate and good luck with the studies. If you get chance (obviously cool if not) I’d request your thoughts on Joe Bonamassas new one Royal Tea and as a classic album I’d ask Joy Divisions ‘Unknown Pleasures’. Like I said dude only if you have capacity.
Thanks mate :) I nearly forgot that Joe had a new record out, if I get the chance I may well cover that one. I know he recorded it at Abbey Road and it seems interesting.
Recently subscribed and have started going through everything from the beginning. Was surprised to to see that I own a lot of the albums you reviewed, including one's by Anathema, Woods of Ypres, Storm Corrosion etc, and now seems like a good time to revist them. Seeing as it was a while back when you reviewed them, have your opinions changed on any of the albums?. Also, have you checked out " The Optimist " by Anathema?. Ps: I need that Dave Lee Roth poster lol.
I really like 'The Optimist', I know it got a slightly mixed reception from the fanbase due to the greater electronic influence but I thought it was a really nicely structured concept record and it sounded awesome live. Especially 'Springfield' I love that one. My opinions haven't actually really changed on some of the albums by the bands you mentioned, I still can't get into Storm Corrosion for example. But there's certainly quite a few albums generally where I've changed my opinions especially from from my earlier days as a reviewer, some of them would probably be quite fun to revisit actually :)
Cheers for getting back. Agree, was pleasantly surprised by " The Optimist ". I like that it was a bit more restrained and low key. From the revisited albums, " Hand cannot erase " still sounds great, " The next day " is a lot better than I remember, and, most surprisingly, " Storm Corrosion " has really grown on me. I think listening to it while walking around the Irish Countryside + grey skies + 2020 in general has given me a new appreciation for it lol.
Oh... you are going to review AC/DC new album? If the new single is anything to go by...well, its very poor. Its like they truly have ran out of ways to rehash that chopping chord style of theirs. But its your call man!😎👊
