Great to see you two together here for a little one on one. And sleepy Colton of course. So great to hang out with you two this weekend. Sure wish it would have been longer. Thanks again. And of course thanks for the cool jazz shoutout!
Nice after-party wrap up with Jack! Fantastic! Colton must be ready decompress and crash for a week now! Great vinyl grabs by Jack! A pleasure meeting and hanging with you guys! Thank you Mike and Patty!!!!🎉 cheers! 🍻 🎸🙏👍😎🇺🇸 🇨🇦
A lot of Steve love going around. I need to get that Pretenders and John Martyn albums. The Stranglers are great. Graham Parker's first two albums are fantastic. "White Honey" is one of my favorite songs off that one. His second one is called Heat Treatment which is my favorite. He was often compared to Elvis Costello in his early years. Colton approves of this video.
That's a great haul from Jack. Bargain bins for the win. The debut from Back Street Crawler is wonderful mid-70s blues with a soul twist. Their second album is even better ('2nd Street'). Nice John Martyn album too. That guy has a fantastic catalogue. And Graham Parker's debut. Absolutely brilliant.
What a great weekend eh? beers, mates and non stop records and some great video's to show too. Great stuff Mike. "Cat people (putting out fire" love it!! More bargain buys there......a serious haul there!
Nice Graham Parker. I've collected him for 40 years and got to see him twice at the top of his game. Awesome songwriter and musician. Never got his due, but did co- star in to his credit Judd Apatow's This is 40 oddly enough. Was part of the Gang of Four: Nick Lowe, Elvis Costello, Graham Parker, and Dave Edmunds.
Great to see you two guys together and Colton pricked his ears up when Bowie’s Cat People was mentioned 😂 Great haul Jack, Pretenders Hate for Sale ……wow! Patty’s cheesecake c’mon yes please! Thanks for Stranglers shout out Mike. Glad the whole weekend went well. Mike
Nice way to wrap up the MGK VC fest weekend! Jack got some good stuff there. Graham Parker & The Rumor (early stuff) is fun, pub rock n' roll. Howlin' Wind is a classic, with Nick Lowe behind the knobs. White Honey! Soul Shoes! 😎
