The 2K 60 FPS front camera resolution option is only available in the 1CH or 2CH configurations and only if the HDR feature is turned off. The screw holes are for an optional "tamper-proof" security plate that prevents the power cable, camera cables and the microSD card from being removed from their front camera connections.
The "screw holes" are there to secure an optional accessory that locks the connections in place making the unit "anti tamper" so that the driver or another person can't just "disconnect" the cameras / power
Thanks for the content. Excellent video and well explained. I could be wrong, but I know for other dashcams only allow for parking mode if you are hardwired in. Was that done in this case or where you just using the stock 12V USB adapter that it comes with? I noticed a wire going down to your center console so maybe you were using the 12V USB adapter for power?
I did not have it permanently installed for that review. I use a power supply with a switch that basically simulates how the car would normally work. That way I can test these things without the hassle of actually installing it.
Got it. I just know for some dashcams you need to use the hard wire kit which has a low voltage sensor attached to it so your battery doesn't completely drain if your dash cam is in park mode for too long. Perhaps because the dashcam didn't register the low voltage sensor it interferred with all the capabilities when using the dashcam's park mode. @@BrianGreenstone
Brian, what happened to the fisker karma ? Did you get rid of it. I just saw the video you did 11 years ago. I saw one for 20k and that's the nicest looking 4 door I've ever seen in my life. The way the hybrid system works is totally innovative. Like a train engine. Well let me know if you could, and thanks.👍
When Fisker was going bankrupt it seemed like a good time to sell it since I didn't want to get stuck with a brick in my garage. I loved that car (when it worked) for the 2.5 years that I had it, and whenever I see one driving around (which is rare) it makes me really sad. That was such a cool car.
@@greenstonefinemineralia2136 A former owner, you would certainly know a lot more about it than I. From what I've been seeing, it looks like you made a wise decision. The last video I looked at was a RACING CAR mechanic wanting one for his wife. He couldn't find a service center he felt comfortable with so he went with something else. Personally, I feel it's ashamed a car with such great promise has to fall from grace. Thank you for responding.
Some dvd players still have the av connection, I actually have 1. Also does the power cord have a usb to c connection? There’s portable cellphone batteries chargers that can connect to it. There’s even dashcam batteries packs that it can connect to easily too, if that’s the case.
Same model working, except for live view. Very frustrating. I'm taking videos and pics. Absolutely no idea if I'm doing something wrong or if its malfunctioning, because the videos are storing when using a Fat32, AND ExFat microSD. Weird, right? Not supposed to work without the correct format. Any ideas or comments about live video to an iPhone?

supports 512Gb. 256 is "recommended" by manufacturer. Be accurate.... "SCREW HOLES" are for anti tamper accessory. How can you "review" something and never bothered to learn basics of it? Shame on you....
