Just FYI, from the rule, Viole doesn't have to fight the ranker. He could go around and beat people up until there aren't enough people left to form a team. He chose to fight the ranker. Other people won't want to leave since there might be a chance Viole chose to beat them up. Goseng was quite brave going out right away like that
Glad you’re still enjoying it as you are. It wasn’t bad but I was surprised the Viole Love fight started in this episode. The card game between the regulars should have lasted a bit longer. It would make Goseng’s comment about forgetting the tower hit harder if we saw her getting caught up in the atmosphere. The biggest shame is the lack of diverse drip. Tower of God is always having the characters change out some clothes. Viole in particular had a very nice and unique casual outfit for the fight.
This is where a lot of animes would benefit A LOT from longer episodes IMO. They should take a page from some live action shows (with this I mean shows with real life actors, not animes adapted to live action) in which they make an episode as long as they need to for the content they want to throw into the episode. And you get episodes that are 45 min and other ones with more sensitive info that needs more time may last more than 1 hour. If they did that they wouldn't run into the conundrum of "I want to give proper development for the little things, but I also want the episode to be dynamic and eye-catching". They could do both instead. You cannot be rigid with times and such, especially with art, or it'll end up biting you in the ass.
Compared to the manwha this part of the story moved way faster but I can see why. A lot of what was skipped was character interactions so it would’ve made this episode’s pacing pretty slow. I’m a bit disappointed they skipped the bath scene but I understand why they did it😔.
Those slow parts in the Manhwa was only good for a reading format…it’s better to just up the pacing significantly in an Anime format or else we would still be on the Shinsu enhancement test in Episode 2 and we wouldn’t finish this current test until episode 6
Yea, same here. They have so much to cover this season though so it makes sense, like I would’ve written it the same way. End of the season is gonna rock hard
Just a minor remark. The two new people that came to Prince are not new. They took part in the previous test. You can very briefly see them standing with the other test takers in the previous episode, when Wangnan does his speech to get chosen by Viole.
He isn't stopping time. That's the reverse flow control that he learned from quant in season 1. It never had any visual representation in the webtoon, so the anime took liberties in both seasons for us to visualize it.

I've been really loving your ToG reactions, and I'd totally be down to watch manhwa reactions in the future if you ever wanted to check out the differences and missing bits.
I guess the reason why Prince wouldn't suspect Kim Lurker to have killed Robdevil is because of the test before. If you remember: Robdevil was so much stronger than many of the others. Kim Lurker wasn't very strong himself.
As an anime only, what did you think of this episode's pacing? They cut out a criminal amount of dialogue between characters, and they even skipped like 40% of the entire fight between Bam vs. Love. As a webtoon fan, I believe they handled this episode very poorly. It seems like they were in a rush to get things through as quickly as possible for a very important moment that will happen next episode. The episode kinda broke my hype for the anime. I just hope the next episode is better. They really need to execute the important moment well.
Look on opening. They will add emely too, u know when we talk about emely that mean they will add train arc little too. It so far from begining bam apear after be FUG on webtoon. Before emely and train arc that workshop, and in ending Bam Will meet Khun too. So... why this so fast. And i am as reader webtoon too enjoy it so far
Can we just talk about how cool Love looks in this episode?!!! 🤩 Don't listen to the nitpickers, I think the pacing is fine. if they tried to include every detail from the Webtoon, it would have been really slow and boring. I remember being genuinely bored reading this part in the Webtoon, so I don't mind the cuts that were made. As long as we get to the good stuff👍 Also it was difficult to understand the rules of the game in the Webtoon, but they explained it better here.
I'm sorry that you got spoiled in the comments. As you may have noticed it, TOG has a complex story and some things can be misunderstood due to the huge quantities of informations and sadly a lot of people forgets that they didn't understand all on their first read and that you can appreciate without understanding everything. Apart from things that can be really confusing due to some strange choices of adaptation, I really think that people should let you figure out the story on your own. The webtoon is one of the best piece of art I read in the last years and I really hope that you will be able to appreciate it fully without being spoiled or too much "backseated". I don't know if this is possible but it could be good if you can put someone that I have read the webtoon as a moderator of your channel that can remove comments before you see them so that you won't be spoiled. PS: English is not my first language and this message is really long so I hope that I didn't make too much mistakes
SIU gave readers a lot of extra information in his blogposts and q/a even in 1st season of webtoon, so when 2nd season started readers had a lot of this knowledge. Some are useless trivia like someone asked SIU about most beautiful female character in 1st season and SIU said - Hwaryun. He also gave us information about top 25 ranked people in the tower which included Zahard, Family Heads, irregulars, FUG slayers and other. So on one hand people can spoil you somewhat but without this extra knowledge you are more clueless then original readers who read when chapters were coming out 10+ years ago
Please, call Viole Viole, because he is a new caracter, and not exactly the same one you may think he is since you call him bam. Would you call the Frankeintsein creature by the names of the dead people making up his body ? Also, as to why is Viole paired with Ehwa : Prince was pretty vocal and loud when he bet her as the price for scoring higher than he does at the punching machine, so she somehow became Viole's "property" by the rules dictated by Prince himself... Remember rules are important in the ToG universe !
while it wouldnt work since you're caught up on this series since they take a bit to come out. I would suggest as a general tip for future anime, if you want to hear how something should be pronounced, switch it over to the english dub and have a listen. opinions on dubs aside, in my experience the pronunciation of stuff is more easily heard and matches what would be expected for the source material.
Ngl I kinda dig the bubble fx more for the Reverse flow control from S1 since it's pretty easy to identify as there weren't any visual cues in the webtoon for it. The semi-za warudo sfx and vfx they did here though was out of nowhere and got me laughing. Also been bugging me since last week about Robdevil's name since I remember it differently, so I rechecked from the webtoon and it's Rapdevil there. Only guess I have for the change was due to MGK's song of the same name.
The OST is the same... The animation did change tho. But tbf, also SiU design changed after the prologue. The ambient, I agree. I feel it is because of the content they cut to make an episode.
