If you look at articles about someone who's been convicted of murder, the press never refers to the person as an actual murderer, they always refer to the person as a "convicted" murderer. If nobody protested Trump there wouldn't be violence. Simple. Saying that Trump supporters are 100% accountable for the violence is extremely ignorant to any form of logic.

Jed Oestreich First off, all on the ground accounts are saying the Trump supporters incited the violence. Second off, the protesters are in full accordance with their constitutional right to assembly, whereas Trump, advocating violence and spouting hate speech, is inching closer and closer towards indictment.

That doesn't change the fact that if the protesters weren't there, they wouldn't have been attacked. So unless you think that Trump supporters are so violent, that they would have still been violent, even with nobody there, the protestors do have some accountability.

How is protesting an assault-able offense? If they are against what the man is saying, if they find it objectionable on a legal and moral level, and even if they don't, they have the right to show their objection.
