The old music is great. The "Juggalo movement" is shit nowadays, don't get into it. Unless you like camping out with people who don't shower and take a shit in yours. Back when I was considered to "be a Juggalo" that shit would have been completely unacceptable... Back then Juggalo's were simply usually the "odd man out" kind of people, the one's who weren't social pariahs but were still generally respectable people. You could be poor, look a little weird, or whatever, it didn't matter but you were generally a decent person and not a fucking scumbag that smoked meth and didn't shower for a week straight. Then they started the whole "family" bullshit. Even then after that things were ok for a few years. Finally, it all went down hill when they started their whole fucking "open arms we'll take anybody and everybody as family" movement shit. Once they did that, all the scumbags, ignorant, bottom wrung mouth breathers of society flocked to it like moths to a light and "became Juggalos", and that's where you get all the hate of Juggalos that you have today.

Christopher Combs i suppose you’re right, living in squalor is an exaggeration, and I truly respect them for staying true and not selling out. But I’d have to really disagree when you say Eminem had support from the beginning. Making the rounds at the rap battles of Detroit to prove yourself, especially as a white rapper, is hardly being given anything. And icp and Eminem have since squashed their beef, but it’s ridiculous to say Eminem derives inspiration from them. He had his people squash the beef, and didn’t even go in person. He doesn’t think of them as inspiring, he doesn’t even think of them. He was only a local star for quite some time until Dre heard him on the radio (not even knowing he was white) and signed him.

Christopher Combs there’s a reason why Eminem got picked up in a limo half way. It has to do with talent and skill level. Plain and simple. More people want Eminem than icp, and that is the real,test of success. Icp would have taken the route of Eminem if given the chance. The reason they didn’t is because they couldn’t. That’s not to say anything about about them, just saying.
