Hey, if you want to chase tornadoes with us visit us at www.usatornadotours.com/ 🌪️ A violent, long-track elephant trunk tornado strikes south-central Oklahoma May 9th, 2016. Watch this tornado from extremely close range!
I agree with you! This tornado was the most photogenic of any that I've ever seen, and I've watched hundreds of them. The chasers here knew what was close enough to video and not get in harms way. I couldn't do it!
it's good, but theres some thats right up their with it. like one on pecos hank channel, you can literally see it form and tear up buildings like 50 yards away. or heck theres one of just a guy under a bridge, tornado almost sucks his truck up, you can see it start to rock, but just barely doesnt
Of all the storms on earth , the tornado is the one that frightens me the most. It always has. The dark cloud & that funnel that comes from above to the earth. I get chills just looking at this.
Life was meant to be lived. We should experience the full impact of life. Not run like big babies. I can do debri. And nothing is going to push ME around.
I agree. Some of them drive you crazy with all the yelling and screaming back-and-forth. Except for Reed Timmer of course, he can yell all he wants lol
You may be amazed to know some of your thumbs up probably took this seriously. I recently watched a show with my mom. While feeding, a young man was talking to his baby, "You're going to see great things. DO great things. I promise to do everything I can to--" Aw. Sweet. All that nice stuff of a budding good father. Mom says: (scoff) "Why is that man talking to his baby? Babies can't understand. This is so unbelievable..." (Well that explains a lot about you, "mother", my "nurturer".) To those people I'll say: Of course the tornado isn't listening, it's busy eating its vegetables. "OMG now you're saying tornadoes can eat?!" 😑
Now this is how you do it folks. No mindless yelling,no headache from camera shake, minimal conversation between the occupants of the vehicle. Most importantly great camera work, and driver you did killer.Enjoyed this clip thanks for sharing
Great filming - though I always wonder what all of the clicking is in these videos and car test videos. Something you are doing with the film cartridges or what is it?
You mean, you don't appreciate the screaming! The cussing. Screaming the obvious? "It's a freaking Tornado!" 🌪️ Really? I thought it was a mountain lion. 🙂↔️

Anthony Davis Bro are you a storm chaser, and don't want other ppl stealing your thunder or what? To add to the réponse I already provided for you under another comment, If stupid ppl wanna go copy these folks, all the best to em. I wouldn't quite call these folks stupid. Risky? Yes. Stupid? No. A lot of things can seem stupid to someone outside looking in, who really has no knowledge of the subject. I wouldn't jump out of a perfectly good airplane, just for fun. Doesn't mean I think ppl that do it are stupid.
@@yopappy6599 If I WAS a storm chasder, I would exercise some appropriate caution and realize that if I'm going to be sharing my videos on RU-vid, I wouldn't go making a dangerous example for others to possibly follow. That would be STUPID.
Tim Hayden was there too. At least a decent-sized IEDs would be quick. This tornado would pick you up in Oklahoma and drop you dead right in downtown Beijing.
I know I'm a trained skywarn storm spotter and storm chaser and my wife went threw a road block a couple months ago in town and the officer asked what that decal means on our car I got a certified skywarn storm spotter decal and she told the officer I get out in severe weather and report tornadoes and also chase storms and the officer told her it takes some serious balls Todo that and he deals with criminals who shoot at him and here he is thinking my job is more dangerous then his lol
Charlie Wood You probably do what you do because you’re too dumb to know better. You literally typed a paragraph without a single period. Misspelled words, and horrible grammar. You’re clearly not the sharpest knife in the drawer. It’s probably the same ignorance that drives you to run around chasing storms.
Haha. Same deal here brother except I chase tornadoes as well. I always think of it as the same thing. You drive up to a violent tornado in an attempt to save lives, you have all the precautionary gear ready, you have an escape route, and if it all goes wrong, hopefully a quick and painless death.
@@closinginonclosure that's because all of them are full of shit. People that search for IEDs don't use the terminology like "hunt" . Only military experience they've had is in their TV
@@davidvaughn9 -- Just making it to the SCENE of an active tornado is 75% of the battle...and Scott Peake is almost ALWAYS there when notable twisters are spinning up...regardless of the location. And, when he IS present, he is KNOWN to get some of the best footage. So, he must be doing something right. To say that he "can't hold a candle to the best in the field" is laughable.
Wow. Just WOW! This is a great tornado video! I was clenching my jaw and gripping my seat watching this. I long to go on a storm chasing vacation. I'm scared to death of them, but at the same time, obsessed and fascinated by them. Ever since I was little and watched the Wizard of Oz, and watched it every year since, just to see the twister, always my favorite part of the movie. You did an excellent job filming this, and thank you so much for sharing!!
I am the exact same way +Victoria Kern. I have nightmares of them often, but I am sooo fascinated by them. I would love to go on a storm chasing also, but would be sooo nervous. Good to see I am not the only person with those sentiments
Travelnacka1 That's so weird, I have nightmares of them too, but only if I'm experiencing some type of turmoil in my life. I'm sure I would be so scared to see one for real, but the adrenaline high would be incredible.
I witnessed the F 4 or 5 debris flying from the 1965 Palm Sunday tornado in northern Illinois. I was sitting in the car watching it from about a mile away. I guess it put me in a stage of shock because I don't remember being afraid or perhaps it being the first time I had ever seen this I really didn't know what I was seeing. It's burned into my memory. It was a devastating tornado that claimed lives and did much damage during it's run.
As terrifying as that would be for me, I want to see a tornado. Not sure how close. These youtube videos help with my fear of actually seeing one because these guys get u up close and personal... Victoria, are u in a place that gets a good amount of tornados?
Hands Down THE most beautiful video's of Tornado's I've ever seen! The angles & perspectives are incredible. Award Winning! Watched hundreds for years but these are truly SPECTACULAR! Can't believe how CLOSE you get to many of them - what stands them apart from all the others.
You can you just have to be very vigilant the scary part is how quickly they can change directions. Good rule of thumb if they look like their standing still it's coming toward you.
I agree with everyone else. Your footage is the best I've seen ever. I can't believe you got that close to the tornado. 'Back the other way", when the tornado was reversing course, might have been the best choice you guys have made in recent years!
Wow.. I’m 33 now and have yet to see a tornado outside of Documentation and RU-vid videos. While I know I’m very lucky for this, I can’t help but feel like I’m missing out from the majesty of it all. I can only imagine the awe of witnessing something like that in person. In some morbid way I do want to see one.
Unquestionably, one of the best "chase" videos I've ever seen. We are spared the cliche shouting, cussing and screaming and are allowed to ride along "shotgun" with a couple of guys who really know what they're doing. Thank you.
Ive lived in oklahoma my whole life, this is insane how well they film this. You dont see them with no rain around very often at all. That blows my mind.
@@careywurdinger5238 no. The tornados MAINLY occur when two seasons clash... like when fall is still warm but winter cold fronts come through and they clash. Also when winter and spring clash. You have to have other ingredients in the atmosphere as well. End of March and all of April and may are when we usually get the most. But they can happen any month really... even in December and January. Sometime we have unseasonably warm stretches in the south in December that will coincide with a strong cold front and an unstable atmosphere.
You guys did this tornado proud. You remained so chill the whole time...following it perfectly. Such an eerie and gorgeous scene you captured and thanks for sharing!! (subscribed!)
@@happystance10able I just looked at their channel & there is footage that was posted a month ago. So either someone else is uploading videos on their RU-vid account or they're still alive.
+GREENPOWERSCIENCE go to soriano, uruguay, tornado closest footage, or tornado en soriano, uruguay, tornado en dolores , uruguay and wedge tornado in croatia, tornado in croatia , tornado in china, tornado in bikaner, india, wedge tornado in brazil, tornado in brazil...
I was thinking the same thing, that's why I am reading the comments....NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE SIZE OF THE MOORE TORNADER !!! I would NOT want to be riding around with these fools!!! Seems as though they are very amateur...not sure!
It's amazing how beautiful it is from a distance and I repeat distance in an open field where nothing blocks it! It spins with just so much enthusiasm strength, and fury
Nothing in the way of the tornado yes of course but also nothing blocking or in the way of my escape route either, then I can watch and enjoy from a safe distance
Jared Rose trust me it looked fake. But I tracked this and it's 100% real I have photos on the radar of this thing. Strongest tornado I've ever tracked.
@@deenad3562 lol no these guys are amateurs. That was insanely reckless, these guys are idiots. They're gonna die if they keep getting that close. They were in the debris field not to mention all the downed powerlines. Wont feel bad when they inevitably get naturally selected
Pretty impressive chasing, guys. Wonderful photography, some of the best I’ve seen. Thank you from England, where hurricanes (and tornados) hardly ever happen…
thumbs up to the driver because he knows if he has the speed and ability to get away and the skills to boot, it makes the camera man more calm in the process. A+ video and driving guys.

Tornado: "Great not these people again, everytime I wanna cruise around these crazies have to show up" Edit: omg thanks for the like and the comments I love reading them lol
This is literally if not the best its atleast top 5 tornado footage, these guys 100% killed it by following very close and tracking it and getting so much of it up close!!! Thank u guys whoever video this footage !!!
I have dreams that look like this at least once every few months. Ive been in a few small tornadoes in NW IN and West Central IN but thankfully where i was located we were basically missed but not by much. Only 3times in my life living outside if Lafayette IN did we have to take cover. Its bc of guys like you, ON THE GROUND that helps people to know where the storm is! And what its doing. Thx for that
+CRTukker I know right!! Especially the last tornado. They were right on top of it and it looked like that bad boy was changing direction and was gonna be heading right at them and they would've been sitting ducks! They were lucky with that one.
DEEP THOUGHTS: You know, sometimes when I use one of those high-velocity flush toilets in a mall or something, I think to myself...wow....that thing just blew my crap apart and sucked it down like nothing.
I'd normally shake my head at people that run head on into death like this but with tornados it's different. We still have SO much to learn about them and that knowledge will save countless lives. Good work guys, you've got massive balls and I commend. Not only is your commentary on point, but your driving skills and camera work are excellent. Definitely subbing and liking this video.
@8:00 hate to see chasers do this. 2 and 3 abreast, blocking the road, then getting out of the car to film. Not smart at all. It gets a lot worse when 20 to 40 cars are in the same area.
xMissMilkyWayx they were not risking anyones lives but their own- which is terrifying. That particular area is miles from the nearest rock out in the country. - so simmer down Hillary!
Some of the best tornado footage I've ever seen and I've seen a sh*tload lol...no screaming, no arguing, still calm footage and upload and personal.. awesome video!
I have watched a ton of tornado chasing videos over the years. This is one of the top 3 I've ever seen. Pure balls. Nothing less. They video the storm, minimum chatter, and just let you experience this magnificent monster. Well done gentlemen.
