If a parent needs therapy or classes how NOT to drown their child, reunification should not be an option. Think about the child. I'm sure the court doesn't protect children by what I've seen of these numerous cases - its all about Mom. Her baby, feelings, past trauma, emotions etc. Nothing about the Right of a minor child not to be abused.

I used to work for a family law firm and sadly u are correct. The courts like to SAY they are for the best interests of the children, but they’re for the best interests of who has the most money. The family court system is also extremely reactive instead of proactive. It’s awful some things I’ve witnessed parents doing to their kids just to hurt the other parent or show they have control.

I don't see money being in play. Junkies are among the most poor, and they get their children back all the time. It's about the courts being afraid to take children away from the person who birthed them.

I'm a former DCFS Caseworker and the things I details I had to hear, report and retain literally kept me upmost nights. I soon found out the other caseworkers were also having same issues and needed meds for high blood pressure, anxiety and other health issues. I feel for all the workers involved in this case along with the fathers and children.

I can’t imagine I see enough as a nurse!! I think that’s y there’s a big turnover in social services and they are short staffed ppl don’t want to go into that field bc it’s just so sad and scary!!

I truly believe that the majority of the caseworkers genuinely care about these children. I can not imagine seeing and hearing what they see and hear. This case was so disturbing. I can not imagine reunifying a child who was drowned by their parent. Unbelievable

I like Debra Fuller she’s fighting well for those children. They need to be let go so they can settle and grow up with people who are able to love them and keep them safe. Mom deserves no more time. Babies do need mums but they dads just as much as mums. Either one can raise children successfully. My dad ended up raising 6 kids, the 3 girls were younger and he did that mostly by himself, it was just fine. When they wanted to move us to grandparents or other relatives my father just answered no we are a family. I wish my mum had been there but my dad did a great job

The father should get permanent custody, and the mother should be permanently fixed or, at the very least, birth control that lasts for 5 years. I took birth control that was implanted in my arm that lasted five years. I didn't have to think about or forget to take it. Just because you can get pregnant doesn't mean you should .

Right? I adopted 2, and unfortunately my daughter never healed, has reactive attachment disorder and has cut us out of her life: our love didn't help her. Her brother, my youngest son, did n very much sees me as mom. He pays dearly for his bp's "mistakes". At 23 hr has kicked a drug habit, diagnosed schizophrenic n bi-polar. And for him, his RAD diagnosis was "taken" away as he is completely bounded n attached to us.

If the fathers gain custody it should be put in the orders that they have play dates together so that sister bond is allowed to continue. Separating siblings is not good for the children if orders like that are not put in place.

How on earth is she on her 4th attorney? I work for a law firm and we shy away from cases where we would be the 2nd attorney. There is usually a good reason they no longer have the previous attorney and 9 times out of 10 it is the client.

Here's what gets me right from the start. The mom's lawyer (Wong) says that he had requested a document from CPS regarding the mom and it was 3500 pages. Regardless of when it was requested or received, there is absolutely no way that with a 3500 page file on this case that the mom didn't know that termination was on the table. No way. Wong is trying to act all shocked like they couldn't possibly have known that termination was on the table with a 3500 page CPS file. There is no lawyer on the planet that is that unintelligent and if there is, they're incompetent and shouldn't be a lawyer.

Just wanted to share some heartwarming news. My friend was married to a Sheriff Deputy and she was a detective for years. They just couldnt get pregnant. They met two sisters 3 & 5yrs. They had been severly neglected. They adopted both and my friend left the job to be a stay at home mom. They found out there was a baby boy who was a cousin. My friends sister cried and knew he was meant to be hers. I have been a temp foster mom and walked the floor with tiny little crying babies. There are good people out there with CPS, LEOS, and Attorneys, to name a few. I just wanted to bring some joy for yall to know to counter the sad.

No she has no custody of all 5 of her kids. Scarlett is in NY with her dad. The baby should go home to her father! He’s got a career as a firefighter, kept his composure, has no criminal record. The fact that she’s tried ruining the life of both fathers is pathetic. It sounds like that was more important to her then getting her kids back 😢

After listening to things like this These people are so screwed up no wonder our kids are in danger!! this Horrific system that we have are not protecting these children are. Why In the in hell Are we even having this conversation those kids should have been taken from her a long time ago never to be seen again This woman needs to be in jail Instead of this system let's go lawyer to lawyer and drag this out and cost so much damn money Horrible.

I wonder if she was going through post partum bc most ppl do t try to drown their children!! No excuse just wondered she can’t even fulfill her obligations to see her kids let alone get them back! Wish we knew everything that happened and better timeline! Some ppl shouldn’t be allowed to have kids! U have to get a license to drive a car but being responsible to raise healthy happy safe children anyone is allowed and I know they can’t start changing that bc it would be a slippery slope but it’s just wild and the kids are ones that suffer

Didn't they say she had charges pertaining to Dv & child abuse & a criminal history now ?

I believe they said she has a history and a couple of arrests, once she was on 12 months probation. She should be charged for trying to drown her child!! And for the false police reports she’s made against these fathers!
