So Peter how do you remove the spots that you make from your finger and get that area to smooth out do you lightly sand it away?
@westerlundsviolinverkstada9892
Wearing a latex glove takes away the fingerprints. Then you have to try to spot all places where there is a irregularity in the color and smooth it out.

Dear Master! I would like to ask you, when you apply one colour and then the other colour, do you apply something in between? Like a clear coat of varnish or something? Or do you just let it dry and apply the next colour?
@westerlundsviolinverkstada9892
I don´t see the point of adding clear coat layers inbetween the colored ones. On the other hand I guess there are so many ways to skin a cat, so by all means, experiment.

@@westerlundsviolinverkstada9892 Thank you very much! Just one last question. How can I avoid the end result not being high gloss? Because I suppose you still have to protect it with a coat of varnish at the end, and in this case it will be glossy. How to do it so that the final result is not high gloss? Thanks in advance for your answer!

@@Antonio-01 Most players like the "glossy" look. However it is a difference between wet and glossy. After varnish has dried, it looks wet, so I sand it with a micro fine sand pad and then I "gloss it" with alcohol in a rag. Of course it depends on what varnish you use. Another idea is to use "Super Nikco" or something similar.

@@westerlundsviolinverkstada9892 Thanks for the answer, it really helped me! I have a few minor questions that are not clear to me, but I don't want to bother you on this interface. I would also like to see some more videos like this from you. 🙂

"Wouldn't you be pleased to have the fingerprints of Stradivari on your violin if it was a real one?" I love the modest way of expressing your self esteem.

I understand that black color of box is following the color of fingerboard and nut, , but go with the same color as violin, it is more beautiful. Thank you. But your wish is at the end

The colour of the pegbox is perhaps one of the most open selections of look in the whole violin. Taste is so different.
