Pictomancer does feel like the job to take if you to think about how to use your available options. It just seems so strange, like it has two separate ways of fighting at once.

I am so unbelievably hyped for viper Everything I’ve seen of it just makes me want to get my hands on it more and more The animations, the poses, the combos, the attack names Even the fact it’s got both of the weapons I was praying a second scouting would get, in a single job Reaper, I love you, as the scythe and demon friend job I always wanted, but viper might be my forever one

When I looked at Viper, I knew it was going to be a banger. Looks like it's on the lines of Reaper which is also really fun. I love those quick jobs and the dual blades will always be badass.

I stick to AST and DRK mostly, as combat classes are all really boring from a rotation aspect to me, but Picto seems kinda cool. Viper looks like a typical flashy melee with super simple rotation. Really wish SE would get brave and risk their precious balance to make some wild classes. The only thing from WoW I miss is how unique every class felt eg Resto druid, shaman healer, and disc priest feel COMPLETELY different to play

I'm surprised how few melee in FF14 get that "attack from the rear" means the bosses rear not the tank's rear because I've seen melee who keep to the front of the boss even when the boss has not moved and thus they're ruining their positionals. For what I got no idea.

there is barely any positionlas left and it can be debated even how much worth they are at this point outside of mid-maxing which means like 00,05% over-all damage increase.

I want to love Pictomancer because it's so visually unique, but nothing I've seen is selling me on it. I wish the job changes and new jobs were implemented prior to launch. Give people time to decide on what they want to play as their primary job.

Looks interesting but not sure if this is eneugh gameplay wise to make me return to FF 14, couse i could't play it after work couse i would just literally fall asleep since the job combo's are so repetitive. Its nice to hear they reduced some of the button bloat though, couse this game is one hell of a challenge to relearn if u have been gone for a time.

It just feels like every class plays the exact same way, there will be a point in a fight where every single person is doing 1-2-3 or 1-1-1. It doesn't feel like there's any distinction to them at that point. Like in WoW, a Fire mage and a WW monk during downtime play completely differently. They press their buttons differently. That just doesn't happen in this game.

@@ivantheninja2100 A take that is easily disproven can't be called correct. Anyone who has played SMN and BLM know they don't play the same. NIN vs MNK. DNC vs MCH and so on. There is a point about homogenization, for example, most of the tanks being Buff -> mash Fell Cleave equivalent rotations or healers having copies of each others abilities, but the one thing hyperbole doesn't do is make people take you seriously.

Viper looks basic and flavorless. Press the glowing button and profit. Just reaper v2. Picto is a super cool new take on caster and looks extremely skilled.

You aren't the only one with this opinion. Im personally looking forward to trying viper, but expecting it to feel like reaper with more button mashing. Maybe it'll hit the spot anyway. Not sure. Im cautiously optimistic.

I just want to play a Rogue character without the stupid Ninja run animation. But at the same time, NIN plays incredibly and I'm worried about a massive downgrade in experience if I swap.
