While I can't actually measure it, I would guess it is around 63 HRC based on how they performed.

The handle design on these looked pretty strange to me too. Honest reviews are hard to find.

I try to be as fair as I can. It actually helps being a smaller channel without sponsors because I don't have to say nice things and avoid flaws to keep my sponsors happy. On the other hand, having sponsors would really help, but I wouldn't want to change my format. There is so much choice in the knife industry that having people willing to be fair with praise and criticism is important.

I have come to detest exposed tang knives. It's a cheap and uncomfortable way to make a handle. There is always something odd about Italian knives. Also, Maniago made knives frequently seem to have heat treatment issues for some unknown reason.
