@Darkobert Dub "building LANDSCAPES is not as hard as building spaceships or stuff like Plasmo does." I tend to disagree. You can't really compare scale model building with miniature landscaping. Fuck it, David and Luke should team up. Let Luke do the diorama base and David do the model.
I think this is up there with your best work, which is really saying something! Love how you used the LEDs, and especially how you explained each step in your usual clear, concise and informative manner. Absolutely love your work!
Beautiful work. I especially liked your treatment of the paneling- each panel seems to have an independent existence, not just part of a casting. That's very difficult to achieve. I had not seen the color changing LEDs used in a cockpit like that before- I'll remember that!
Thank you so much for your build video, I have learned so much from this, I've just ordered the viper mk 7, photo etch, etc. I'm 58 an don't no why I didn't get into this dimension before, by the looks of it I'll need more tools
My favorite TV series. The remake was incredibly well done. For LEDs, Vellemann offers a kit called the LED Buddy. Just touch it to the sensor pad, and it will inform you of specifications and the correct value resistor.
As soon as I saw the notification, I wondered “is he going to upgrade the interior?” When I saw the photo etched parts, and LED’s my prayers were answered ;) Brilliant job, as always!
@@jimpyre5038 lots of people have added LEDs to their 40k models, no melting problems. Something you can do to reduce the heat going into the plastic is to use thermal paste (the stuff used to stick the heat sink to a cpu in the computer) to glue some copper sheet to the LED and keep that away from the plastic. Just leave that hanging inside the model.
I used to put together a lot of 1:32 aircraft models in the 80s. I really enjoyed them as a teenager. Thanks for taking me back 30 some years! Bravo!!!
Wonderful as always. I honestly cannot imagine what the 128 who ticked the dislike were expecting to see?, this guy is a fantastic and inventive model maker
This is amazing work!!! Ever time I watch you working on these models make me wish I could have the time and the patience to do it aswell.... You are a master model builder!!
Amazing model! I love the iluminated cockpit displays. The effort made to change the display colours was such a nice attention to detail that really helped bring the whole model together.
You are great at modeling you make it look so easy. I wasn't the kid building back in the eighties when all you had was plastic kits and you had to be resourceful on weathering.
i shake my head with amazement again...........thanks Plasmo (David) your making and helping all of us just try that little but harder when we build our models
Most excellent kit build, the metal parts really brought out the detail but nothing compares to the mastery of the artist in making it look like it actually flew. Bravo. Keep broadcasting!!
Dude you are so inspiring and educational. Thank the Lord above for allowing mankind to come up with RU-vid. Your videos alone have made my my finishing skills increase exponentially. It’s always so much better to watch a demonstration versus reading a magazine article. Where I am at there are no modeling clubs at all so I used to be left to my own devices and trial and error. Usually more error than success. I actually got out of modeling for quite awhile due to frustration. Since I ran into your channel it’s been full steam ahead. Thank you for your willingness to share your gift.
I’m a fan of the Battlstar Galactica show…. This guy is insanely good. That looks like a Viper! The attention to detail blown my tiny little pea brain to bits!!! Wow!!!! Just WOW!!!!!
The extra mile you go David is so well worth it!!! The end result was stunning to say the least. I like how you show products and how to install them in the model. That's what makes you one of the best out there! Cheers David keep up the killer work.
It's amazing the magic you work with that photo-etch. Just looking at photo-etch sprues makes my palms sweat. I just don't have the dexterity for it after years of playing guitar and various injuries.
I have been watching your model constructions for quite some time and this has been so far the most magnificent model you have ever built. Congratulations.
I have been driven to watch all of your videos... For you, this is not a hobby, not a profession, it is a religious calling.. What I have learned from you the most, is not How to make things. I have learned that the true talent is to KNOW what more each model NEEDS... I watch all of your decisions, and say... YES! What he is doing is PERFECT for the model.. Also, thank you for teaching and sharing your techniques. Others on RU-vid just show the end result, and hide their techniques..
