Today I finish the series on the Viperscaleracing cars I have purchased. SVR merch shop: slot-valley-ra... @slotvalleyracing @viperscaleracing @StockpileHobbies @marksslotcargarage
Thanks Dan outstanding work on this video…..just picked up a Viper Sportsman from HC slots and wow….what an incredible car….and the sportsman has several body clips to run a lot of different hard bodies which is kool….been using your videos to educate myself on the viper racing car and they helped decide the best cars for my model motoring track….thanks again…..Charlie
I'm glad I can help with your Viper Choices! Dan Cronan at Viper is a great guy with an amazing team! He took the time to educate me on his wide range of products so it was time to share with all my slot car brothers and sisters!!!
I agree Dan. The wheels and tires really add to the look of a car. Even Grandma's old Buick has a little more edge with lettered tires. Thanks for the video.
@@slotvalleyracing LOL, yeah even my stock V-Spec is almost TOO much beast to tame! By the way, is that an app on ur phone!? That's cool where can I get one?
Good stuff, thanks for the fun vid. I see you’re running the Dino at 20v. Thanks crazy high. I have a bunch of both Vipers and lots of AFX variants and 440’s, run my Viper 65’ track at 16v max. What is you track set at? That’s what your Dino should run at if the track isn’t 20v.
The power I use varies on the chassis that is being driven. But 16v is Autoworld dragstrip voltage that is way too low to run Viper high end products. Unless you are talking 16V per lane in which case I still run 22v per lane.
I like the video, but it seems a bit disingenuous to test the Mega G with a body on it and didn't test the Vipers with a body. I am sure the Viper is still faster, but your results are with cars under different setup conditions.
@@slotvalleyracing do you have the variable tri-power pack? 22v is pretty high, I run my track at 18.5 volts and the Viper cars fly off, at 22 volts they would be hard to manage.
@@slotvalleyracing what's getting a little confused when it comes to the wiring if you got a couple sections of track where you can hook up for power supplies? Everything's kind of new again I'm 52 and been diagnosed with cancer been battling it for almost 2 years. I don't really work anymore so I'm looking for a hobby. I used to love slot cars and even collected them up until a couple years ago and had to sell my whole collection to a well-known guy in the community. Also had to sell my real auto cross car and had four ATVs I had to get rid of the help pay very expensive co-payments on medicine. So I've only ever used one power plug and that's the one that comes with the track so I'm a little confused when I hear people talk about running power supplies and who like you just said running something to each lane
this is one of your best vids Dan n wow that does mean a lot made in the USA never seen a car turn a 500 on the dyno to bad they dont have hard shell bodies to go on them you said tyco clip which tyco body you putting on it lol
I was going to put it on my Diehard tyco race truck but it doesnt look right! I may end up buy a luxan body for them both!! Richard, thank you for all your support!
@@slotvalleyracing wow yes Dan you'll always have our support my grand kids like watching the great videos you make one says he wants to make videos now keep m coming brother slot out
Yes, VIPERS are awesome. Remember you can adjust the timing too. I like buying the parts from VIPER SCALE RACING and build them myself. I forgot . What volts is the dyno ? Great video !
Hi Dan, this was a Awesome review and information video. Those Viper cars just Scream Speed, and to Beat AFX time 😲 and made in the USA 🇺🇸 😲. This video is Fantastic and very unexpected 👍. Thank you for another Awesome video, Dyno test and speed testing on the track. Have a Great week 🏁🏁🏁👍👍👍. Al
well I guess that really proves it.... the "more you spend" the "faster you can expect to go".... just like in the "good old days".... another great video Dan.... not sure if comparing a pancake and inline chassis is fair.... the pancake motor has a complex drive train compared to an inline chassis in which motor driven pinion gear drives the rear axel directly.... 👍👍
Nice Viper cars.. It's a shame that AFX doesn't make a better track!!! They're so noisy.. All that clicking drove me crazy. I got rid of it and got a Viperscaleracing track.. I had the old track in the early 90s and it didn't make a sound. 117ft 4 lane F1 layout. The track that I got back then came with the Rokar Indy cars .It slid together side to side. Not pressed together end to end like the garbage they make today.. No excuse to make such a bad product.. I was told that AFX uses the old molds to make the tracks now a days.. AFX says that the Z connections are quiet and go together better than any track before. Absolutely not!! The old track went together way better. The only way I could keep the new track together was was to screw them together. On the old track I didn't have to use 1 single screw.. AFX should be a shamed of them selves for making junk!!! I wish I never got rid of my old track.. Keep Racin!!
