I agree with you, for the most part. The malls usually aren't too difficult to navigate, once you've memorized the general layout of the building complex. For instance, if you go to Mall of Asia often enough, you'll eventually get to know it like the back of your hand. That French chick did have a point, though. Most Philippine buildings aren't intuitively designed for occupants. In fact, most of them aren't even up to code. A couple of years ago, Palafox (a renowned architectural firm) remarked that 30-40% of Philippine buildings will crumble in a strong earthquake. Recent surveys peg it at around 90%. So it's probably a good idea to consider that when deciding on a residence.
