Eto ang mga problema ng pinas kaya konti lang ang mga foreign tourists at hindi sila nagtatagal sa ating bansa: 1. Corruption everywhere. RED TAPE in govt. 2. Very very very very few modern infrastructures. 3. Wala tayong modernong transportation at airport 4. Mahina or walang internet 5. Nawawalan ng kuryente (brownout) 5. Mahina or nawawalan or walang tubig 6. Nakawan at kikilan sa NAIA airport 7. EXPENSIVE accomodations 8. Illegal squatters, street dwellers and beggars everywhere, particularly children asking money from foreigners. Tapos sasabihin natin "Its more fun in the Phlippines" ??? Nakakahiya ! Tourism will boost our local economy kasi foreigners spend money in our country which helps our local business to earn more. The local and national government MUST do something to solve/fix these problems.

Excellent presentation. I've seen TONS of expat Philippines videos. This is the first I've seen that covers these issues. Now I'll be better informed when I move to PH. Subbed.
Sicko,s everywhere but police killing people is another level, good advice never tell anyone what your worth, family especially and I guess Philippines police...
I was anticipating some hardcore dangerous city like Port Au Prince would take number 1 so I checked and it is in fact a study of 60 international cities selected by Forbes
I think "high class" generally means affluent (read rich). If I were to expatriate to the Philippines or Taiwan or Thailand or ... I would want to meet a professional (lawyer, teacher, nurse, etc.) working or retired woman who has her own money, whose kids (if any) are grown and gone, and who wants companionship with a western man. Young women from affluent families in their 20s or 30s would be very hard to meet let alone establish a relationship. There are more unattached attractive Filipinas in their 40s to 50s than one might think. Location is important but a satisfying relationship with a high character lady can be found if one is careful and patient. I spent about ten years visiting, working, and living all over the Pacific and they do exist.
I agree, but I find it distasteful. Money doesn’t make one sophisticated. It does make you more of whatever you are, and that ain’t always a good thing. Thanks for watching and contributing to the conversation. Best regards, Joe
@@vince1012 Filipina yearn for a loving husband and family ..just we generally put some things on hold to achieve our short term goals ..if we vibe we vibe.
There’s a few misconceptions about modern city Filipina, we will generally try in the first instance to be independent as were being taught to stand on our own two feet. This will embolden us to help others and be a proactive member of society. Of course we are yearning for our life partner to settle with and have a family, this is still the dream of a every Filipina and we would give up our careers to have the “ ideal family” . As for partners..you’ll try to date up, I personally always found western guys attractive. I was a corporate banker for Citi and Wells, and while your working your with friends/work mates and a family..your potential of meeting foreign guy is limited as most are not really serious and I would continue a relationship if the guy is not serious. So a nice guy can certainly find a modern city Filipina..we are just more work ..charrr. God bless.
Hello Kelly, Thank you for your thoughtful contribution. You’re always welcome to share your perspective here. I’ll pin this to the top in hopes of others reading and benefiting. Best, Joe
@@Joeysgonerogue Thankyou ..I really your analysis is correct although if we find a guy attractive, we find them attractive. And personally there’s a demographic of Filipina that really find western guys the most attractive.
From initial info, I guessed it was a targeted hit of one or both of the couple. main reason being the story mentioned NO valuables appeared to be taken. all were killed to limit evidence via eye witness. Now im guessing the shoes and watch were valuable enough to not bother with the other stuff, and/or to confuse the investigation. (plus, taking cell phones is a big mistake or obvious reasons). RIP. Murdering ppl over such a thing, smh.
Main reason the crime was easily solved is not only does the hotel have CCTV cameras, the barangay (village community) and nearby establishments also have CCTV cameras, and Philippine police are experts at piecing together multiple CCTV camera footages from different souces to trace or backtrack a criminal's trail. Owners of CCTV cameras are willing to cooperate to the police to provide the footages.
When I first saw the CCTV still image of the suspect, I knew he's an employee or former employee of the hotel because he knew there were CCTV cameras all over the hotel.
Now palang makaka watch paps.
We lived in BGC for a couple of years and had a car ..I really don’t have a problem with driving in the phil’s wherever I go..the slum kids in Manila are probably the most annoying as they can be rude and obnoxious begging etc. If you have a partner you’ll really need a car ..visiting family and friends and general touring with luggage. I personally think bikes are way way too dangerous in the phil’s, I’m sure Joe has had near misses ..on his bike. One of out worst was the sight of a naked guy in the middle of dual carriageway, traffic was swerving out of the way to avoid him. Then you have the usual swerving bikes and dogs and kids running into the road..and on a motorbike in a accident your toast. Ps the coding in Manila is a real pain..we know live in subic freeport and have to check the days when visiting ..been stopped twice for that lol.
Hello Eric, Excellent points! I’m in fact freshly recovered from an April crash. Thank you for watching and taking the time to contribute to the conversation. Best, Joe.
@@Joeysgonerogue Oh I did not realise you had a accident …it matters not have careful you are here with the constant traffic dangers and plus the rainy season is upon us ..all the best.
The run of the mill foreigners generally will not cut it with the modern city Filipina, guys that come here really have no idea about the professional Filipino and the society. The quality Filipina know there worth so whether Filipino or it be a western guy they will need to be on point to attract the true unicorns. Filipina are no different from other women …they will want the best mate they can get ..looks and security. And if your a guy that’s dated plethora of Filipina ..you’ll find your level, whether it be province or city modern, but for sure it’s easier to date the province girls as they are in rich supply. I personally only ended up dating city Filipina as it’s not my bag living in the province away from infrastructure..but each to there own.
Hi Eric, you nailed it! Nothing in life (income, quality of friendships, women, etc) exceeds our own value, at least not for long. Thank you for the great contribution. Best, Joe.
Dating a high class or busy professional is exhausting and expensive. No thank you. I prefer what I can tolerate and that is peaceful relaxation without stress. I already worked in the rat race for over 50 years. Now is my time to enjoy life with someone who has already finished her career.
Joe, off topic. Do you know anything about the latest visa situation in the Philippines? The visa changes make the Philippines unappealing to stay there longer term.
Hi Kim, I know very little about what’s happening. I do know I’d rather renew every couple of months than pay 10k for an SRRV. When I was at immigration a few weeks ago, they told me if i went to Intromuros, I could get a 6 month extension. Wish I had more for you. Best, Joe
Theres a reason why locals dont buy these and its mostly foreigners who buy them... because they knew they are naives gonna fall into these overpriced properties.. quality is poor, units are small, materials are horrible.. BGC properties are moneypits.. Ill advise anyone either your a foreigner or a local to just rent one.. and if you got a good deal outside, the buy a real house..
I’m laughing at your question because I just discovered them a few days ago and have been telling everyone. I bought it at store called UNIQLO. 4 shirts and a pair of shorts for $73 US. The brand on inside of shirt says UNIQLO also. They are super cool and don’t need ironing. Best, Joe.
Haha! You mentioned about golf clubs, my hubby and I brought our clubs from UK to Philippines and I do yoga and pilates. I'll remind my husband today that I've come from a family of lawyers/liars hahaha!
YOu are very very correct! Highly educated and middle to higher class Filipinas also date yuppies, professionals, who are young, most of the time , their colleagues. Somebody who keeps up with their lifestyle. So, in cities like Baguio, Manila, etc, you rarely see old, western men dating or living with young women. If there are fireginers, these are likewise young, successful ones, he hehe
These women spend more money on a group dinner and a round of drinks than the average dude on pensions or disability.. STOP dreaming guys... They are OUT OF YOUR LEAGUE,, (I have lived here for years...I know these people well).
Who are we Joe? It seems you are not even in the country? I agree though, affluent Filipinas don't want anything to do with foreigners, or as a matter of fact nor with poor Filipinos, too.
Hi Alvin, We are people like me retired in the Philippines. I try not to say “you” as it feels like preaching to others. I am in the country and spend most of my time exploring on the motorcycle. Thank you for watching and writing. Best, Joe.
I like your analysis and I agree that "High Class" Filipinas are seldom interested in foreigners. The reason why so many "Low Class" (no offence meant) Filipinas are interested in us is because they want to get out of poverty.
Young high-class Filipinas won't marry an old man, just like in America or anywhere. Young women marry old men to get out of poverty. High class women tend to date people of their own age that can be of any race.
@@homebasebelgium359 Don’t we all want the best and hopefully the real true loves our lives..like our working lives we try our very best to make the most of our opportunities. And to be honest I would like a guy a can spend years and years with ..Happy hunting guys. God bless.
Thank you! I’ve not heard the term “climber” before. Much better description of what I was trying to define. Thank you for the great contribution! Best, Joe
Same, I dumped my first wife for being fat with no ambition and my second one for being too affluent and thus bossy. Been more happy dating in the middle and never buying the cow.
WRT to the "unicorn"...older, secure, unmarried or widowed Filipina. They may be rare but they do exist so don't exclude that age group if you're searching for a Filipina partner online.
Hi Dan, I agree. It’s impossible for most of us to get a Philippine checking account so it’s off the table. Even if possible, as you say, it’s a really bad idea. When they have your money you have zero leverage to get problems resolved. Best, Joe.
