Read a comment by a former lobbyist who stated the congress people have no clue what they are voting on. He walk into meet them and it was the young interns and such who are fresh out of college making the decisions. Once you think about that government decisions make a lot of sense. I realize that some are sharp to 100 or more, but IMO it’s time to pass the torch to the next gen and 80 should be enough. 3 terms for House (6 years) and 2 terms for Senate (12 years). And since most of us will probably have to work until at least 70+, let’s not start getting into age discrimination! Term limits would work fine aswell as cognitive evaluations for all politically elected or nominated including releasing information on their psychological and emotional history and health. Sounds invasive, but when your decisions can or will impact the privacy and livelihood of voters directly, I believe it's the least they should do.

I think we need to set term limits for politicians that are suppose to represent our cities and make crucial decisions and instead we have a bunch of nursing home patients falling down - forgetting what they are saying - speaking incoherently and the constituents should understand and be at ease with that?? If you are going to fight to get a Constitutional Amendment for term limits, also change the length of term of Representatives from 2 year to 4. Two-year terms mean they are constantly running for re-election rather than getting their work done. I also think 12 years for both the Senate and House would be long enough.

They are not making the decisions, its the young interns and workers fresh out of college who are telling them how to vote. The ones with no real world experience, all the fresh college social theories implanted in them and probably can't balance a check book. They tell the congressmember which way to vote and like a good puppet they do. The people behind Freinstein don't want her to step down so she won't. How long as she not been making the decisions of her vote. ts a bit of a fraud to the voters because she isn't in control and the voters are not shown who really is.

Regardless of age, elected gov officials should only be eligible for one term in his/her life. 5 years max, then someone else, cant be there for life, living of tax dollars.
