fucking hell i remember when these games came out. i got black 2 on release and then lost it at a craft fair, last place i got to before it was found a day or so later by staff was virbank. then some kid in my town stole it from me a few weeks later LMAO. this song makes me want to ponder near a bridge and smoke or something
Fun coincidence: Verbank (same pronunciation, different spelling) happens to be the name of a village in upstate NY. I’ve been there, it’s in the middle of nowhere and it’s just a couple houses.
The Mt. Coronet theme from Diamond/Pearl was always one of my favorites in the entire series because of the atmosphere it brought. This is Black 2's equivalent song of amazing atmosphere, and it's a crime that I haven't noticed that until now.
don’t know why, but this theme specifically always gets me in my feels. since i’m an only child, i was very spoiled as a kid and would always get the newest ds games, black 2 being one of them. i still have my copy till this day. catching my mareep and growlithe before fighting the gym, always dying to whirlipede, eventually sweeping her with my dewott. too bad they’re gone bc my dumbass decided to reset my save data not knowing at the time what resetting was. only thing that was saved was a shiny lilipup that’s now in my pokémon home. i think i was 9 when i got this game and now i’m 18 and nostalgia is hitting me crazy rn. sorry if im typing a lot but i hope everyone is doing well now
I got this game around my first semester of Highschool In 2015 in the break year of Pokemon, I still didn't have a 3DS yet, or much Internet access, I was shocked when I heard my favorites Pokemon black and white had sequels!
I love every single part of this incredible song, it's hands down the best town theme in all of the series, but I have to say the part I absolutely love more of this track is the bass. The overall feel of this song is so calm and melancholic and I think that the bassline, despite being so simple, represents this feeling amazingly.
It’s been over 10 years and I still adore this theme. Gives me the image of a man in a trenchcoat smoking under an awning in a rainy night. Maybe a detective of some kind hitting a dead end in a particular case
Out of all the pokemon games I have played this one is my favourite, same with the area of the gym, so small and cosy. one badside to this area is pokemon studios
The theme, whether it’s original or remixes, always stand by me every time it’s raining, or in cafe having a enjoyable harmonious atmosphere around me. Keep rocking hard for us, Roxy. 🎸❤️🔥
i stand by the opinion that gen 5 had the best overall soundtrack. there are a couple games that have more iconic songs but.. it’s hard to beat smooth jazz and nostalgia
Sounds like Gen 5, being the generation idea based on America region, more care for the main line stories and surroundings. Black stands for future in a way, whereas White stands for past in a way. Gen 1, on the other hand, more care for the designs of Pokémon rather than cities. Love how different both regions and generations are. ❤ they makes us feel so nostalgic towards them respectively in different ways.
