Virgil transcends as he pushes the music idiom further exploring the sublime ambience that lies in the deep silence.

I love how Virgil Donati bends the phrases over the bars and uses his cymbals very sparingly, not bashing the crashes to death, like many other drummers would be tempted when playing this kind of music. And the sound of the ride - percussive, dry, articulate, perfect 👍 The bass player deserves extra credit for his special skills and taste for the sound 🙂
