I've been using Coconut soy for a couple of months. It's a great texture, holds scent great at 10-11%, doesn't sinkhole as much as 464, it finishes out very nice... I'm REALLY liking it. I get mine from The Flaming Candle Co.

Thank you so much for this review, Jeff! You have to factor in cost, most assuredly. This fits nicely with my candle philosophy......clean and toxin free. The world is moving that direction in regard to our food choices, the air we breathe and products we use on our skin. Obviously there will always be people who love pillar type candles, however for a container candle, I feel “going clean” will soon be the choice of many. Thank you again, you always offer a thorough, honest review. Sponsorship or not, I know we can depend on your honest opinion. I’m considering the WWCo’s Apricot Creme wax as well, so will see what your thoughts are for the Apricot vs the Coconut Soy. The shipping time from WWCo is definitely a negative for me. EDIT: I’ve worked with the VCS and it turned out so perfectly! No more sinkholes like with my prior wax. During testing it seems to melt slower using the same ECO wick you suggested in the PDF. I LOVE IT! I am already sold on the VCS, but will try and test the Apricot Creme as well. I’m SO happy with this wax! 🙌🏻🥰🎉🎉 Many blessings to you and your family and safe travels! 🙏🏻💗🕊

Hi Jeff, thank you for all your valuable content!. So happy I found your channel, I am based in Australia. In looking at their website, this comes in flake form and what you have reviewed here is in slab form. Wondering if it's actually a different wax? Thank you and look forward to your response.

Hi Jeff, did you have to cure this wax to get a good hot throw? This is a lux wax so the pricing reflects this. I compared it to Joy Wax yesterday and the shipping from Nature's Garden alone would make me simply go for the lux wax with free shipping. Works out just a few $$ more for such a lux wax. I think your rating is spot on for the quality, creaminess, great adhesion and smooth tops.

Quick question...when you talk about "inconsistency" moving from oil to oil, are you referring to the scents themselves (same brand) or the brands (like mixing different brands or changing one brand for another)? I notice this wax turns solid pretty quickly and my method used to be melt at 180 F and to add FO at 140 F then pour and this has been working for me. But now with this wax I feel like I have to add the FO earlier at a hotter temp or else it will become solid. I am struggling and lost on if I should add FO at 180? Or 170 F. Any suggestions. ? Anyone 😞. I’m worried if I add the FO at 175 F it will not have a good or strong hot throw. Please help

They note it as a "miniscule" amount of highly refined food grade.....and I actually believe them. I checked out the 6006 because so many persons spoke of it and immediately dismissed it because its 48% paraffin content (if I remember correctly). I prefer Joy Wax and that also has a small percentage of food grade paraffin. 464 was a nightmare for me 😣

Or have any thoughts why I might be sooting so much?? Should I try and wick down??

So I heard soy is the best smelling and strongest smelling , is this true.. and if it is.. I wanna buy , but does it depends on the independent maker or the sent of the candle ?
@wadethomas1043
@wadethomas1043 4 года назад
definitely not the strongest. Soy is known to be the weakest of waxes. In order of strength, this is the typical order (bare in my my there are several variations and blends in the mix as well): Paraffin, palm, coconut, soy. Best smelling? That is more subjective. Some think soy smells more natural. Other think it has a more present natural smell. So that is very speculative. Hot throw, on the other hand.... its just the makeup of the waxes. Nothing is going to beat paraffin for straight up hot throw.
