Wonderful video Bob! Lots of fantastic looks and information regaring marsh birds and specifically rails. I frequently walk about in a Michigan marsh. I've spotted the Virginia Rail (quickly) as it jumps between patches of reeds. The Sora, I've heard it calling many times, especially in evening twilight, but have not yet seen it. Thanks for sharing your video- beautiful, informative, and clever!
Rails are lots of fun. Often, they think they're hiding...but they're not! They also get used to people around popular boardwalks. I've seen sora practically under my feet!
Talk about a man with a golden voice - did you do radio or something back in the day? Appreciate the birding content that's not totally photography centric!
LOL. Yes, radio was my career...or one of them anyway. My primary career. I agree about the birds. Photos are cool, I suppose, but I really treasure behaviors and my interactions with them.
@@Bob_Duchesne Saw a similar-looking couple of birds this week while golfing. They were in a dead tree. Had long necks kind of s curved. 4 of us didn't know what they were. Upstate NY. Thx for the reply.
