He's very physical, a great run supporter and the BEST DB to ever come out of Virginia Tech, including DeAngelo Hall. Chiefs fans will love him. Congrats Brandon GO HOKIES!
Whoever gets Brandon in the draft will get a heck of a steal, IMO the best corner to have ever been at Virginia Tech, and there have been many great DB's. What he lacks in size he makes up for in heart, discipline, instincts and excellent technique. The Hokies will miss you next year BF, Good Luck in the NFL!
Thats my boy!!! We went to high school together. He is a serious athlete!!! He will do excellent in the NFL!! Only if my boy Brandon Owens would have made it!!
I really hope the Vikes do whatever it takes to get him.. but likely San Diego will select him. Since they dont have any 2nd, 3rd, or 4th round picks... Anyways he is going to be best Cornerback from this draft in five years! MARK MY WORDS!!!!
I agree with Georgia. His skill set is near perfection... his straight ahead is questionable but he's great at everything else. (Comparison)Al Harris isn't considered a fast CB but his bump-n-run skills are arguably the best in the NFL.
@52ColtsFan24 He IS a monster, but it's he, Carr, and NOW Berry that make it one of the most potent young secondary's in the league. The addition of Houston at LB should hopefully provide Tamba Hali with the long-awaited bookend.
he'd be a perfect fit for green bay. i seen this guy jam a tight end at the line, man al harris, woodson, flowers, tramon williams, nick collins, n atari bigby. thoughs are some physical db's.
as a hokie i'm so glad he got drafted, i think KC will be happy with him, will be funny when Kansas City plays Oakland and flowers and deangelo hall meet up LETS GO!!! HOKIES!!!!
I agree, people look too much into the 40 time but don't realize they're not wearing pads or reacting to a play. 40 time is more of a "recovery" time in case a player screws up.
@jcw91371 Hell yeah man.... I really loved the draft this year I think Justin Houston will become a monster on this Chiefs D. Plus Jon Baldwin and Bowe will be a hell of a receiving combo. All in all it was a great draft for the Chiefs oh and free agents are still out there too. It should be a fun year:)
There's another cornerback that is "undersized". Pacman Jones. Not saying BF will be as good, but size at corner can be made up for. Flowers can jump, and he times balls very well. His size won't matter. He's a 5'9 wrecking ball that will go up and break passes up and also hit the runningback.
Good season for the Chiefs it was sad that it had to end on such a sour note. CAN WE EVER WIN A PLAYOFF GAME?!!! 18 YEARS IS TOO LONG! We need to sign alot more talent for next year cuz the schedule next season is brutle. They need to get a playmaker at WR on the otherside of DBOWE anyway they can.The draft or free agency needs go in this order WR, pass rushing LB, OT, NT, another FS or CB, and a promising RB in the later rounds to help Charles out cuz Jones wont be here forever.2011 CHIEFS!!!
@jcw91371 I could not agree more man... I just think for this D to become amazing they need to get one more good free saftey or CB and a Wilfork type NT(hard to find). I think Powe could help but its goin to take time and I feel they are going to find another pass rusher on the otherside of Hail THIS year.. It could be Studebaker, Sheffield, Miller, or Houston.. I think it will be Houston. As for the O I just think they need another OT and they are set. Maybe another RB cuz Jones is getting old.
Yes he is a shut down corner. #1 he like to hit and he has speed close any gap that the receiver may gain. No Db really has good hands besides champ. Thats why flowers plays defense not offense.
dude its hard to choose a better corner than this guy the only guy that really matches up to this guy is macho himself. flowers has the harder hits no doubt tho
with a subpar 40 time, he could end up in the black and gold. he seems to have winner written all over him, so it only makes sense. STEEL CURTIAN BABY! we need a shutdown corner
Yes, even better than DeAngelo....DLo has BF on speed but as far as technique brandon flowers is hands down the best DB from VT. Go back and compare the 2 on film.
