Roceesha, Sorry, my postings are erratic and off-schedule lately. I'm working on getting my summer time- management routine dialed in. This is "a thing" when you live in Minnesota. Winter is FOR REAL! I'm from the south, so this climate is an assault to my biological clock. It's imperative for my mental health to be outside in my garden ASAP, all day long, working until exhaustion!! Like it's my job. Like I'm a farmer. So....I'm going to do lesson 3 tomorrow and then I should be all caught up. 🥰

1. My speech contradicts God's will when I answer insult with insult, when I vehemently defend myself, when I lash out after my buttons are pushed; when I focus on a negative outlook or put myself down. I also am trying to filter my thoughts before I speak them! ❤ #Amyhasnofilter 2. Defensive: I try not to be offended by the a-hole speech of my father and his serpent-like wife. I usually try to ignore it, like I didn't even hear it. Sometimes, this only makes me ruminate about the offense and take it even harder. I think, "Maybe he's right." So...I have felt like 💩 about myself since Jan. 4th, but I did not dishonor my father on that particular occasion. For example: When I talked to him on my birthday, I was talking about a job I had that caused me to have carpel tunnel syndrome and surgery. I said, "That job ruined my hands!" And he responded, "And your mind." Now, this is not a one-off insult. It's every other sentence, for 52 years: constant underhanded jabs and passive- aggressive, veiled insults. Constant judgement. However, with the 🙏grace of God, I'm starting to not care. By the 💥power of the holy spirit, I was able to keep my mouth shut and pretend to ignore it. Because...When I get angry and try to defend myself, I get so upset that I can hardly make a coherent sentence, which gives my father more material to work with. Then, the devil has won that match. The Holy Spirit says, "Not on my watch! Not today." [The context of the conversation with my father was that I also have arthritis. I've had 6 surgeries, including a total hip replacement at 40. I'm getting ready to have my other hip replaced, which I limp around on and abuse while gardening.] Anyway....thanks for allowing me to vent. 🤮 3. Pass Application 1. Yes. But, its a long story about jealousy and subsequently digging a deeper hole for myself. I'm working on it, even though it's a retractable situation. The Lord is helping me get through it!❤ 3. Ill answer. I have merely tried to insert, "If it is your wilĺ" into my "walking prayers." (The little prayers I say while I'm just thinking to myself.) 4. I agree. However, I have been, in the past, more likely to be oblivious to God's signals. 5. I don't know. I haven't been a member of Church in a long time. I have heard so-called Christians say something extremely unkind.
