Thank you so much for this video! This year it's my first time going to a historical crisis committee, and I am very nervous about it because I'm not familiar with how it works. almost 2 years later, been through 2 historical crisis committees and 2 historical security councils, i can say that coming into the historical committee community, more so the crisis ones, has truly given me a different aspect on life. i have made friends and acquired new debate, communication and persuasion skills. it really is amazing here.
@@ImmortalLama-gz3zp well, here i am a long time later, after going through 2 historical crisis committees and 2 historical security councils. yes! you can start a war, try to stop it, the committee can even begin during a war, depending on chair & official decisions. you can practically do anything. you can even start a duck empire, but the chairs will never allow such mocker.
@@lilbil4539 hi! idk if u still need my advice, but as of now, ive been to 2 historical crisis committees and 2 historical security councils. first of all, theres a lot going on. all the time, everywhere. things starting, things boiling, things ending. i strongly suggest keeping notes in order to not lose track of the events. some more advice would be to be bold. dont be afraid to start a war if not doing so affects your interests! its all for fun anyway, and ***AS LONG AS YOU TAKE IT SERIOUSLY AND KEEP YOUR PERFORMANCE WITHIN THE RULES AND FORMALITY***, allow yourself to have as much fun as possible! you wanna invade someone? make sure to ensure your defense and backup help from allies and go ahead! you wanna destroy someone's country? play dirty and watch them burn! you wanna start the Almighty Duck Empire? Please invite me! wanna get rid of that annoying enemy leader? assassinate them and now have the dominating voting bloc! lastly, RESEARCH!!!!!! there is never "enough" research. there is always something about your country, or your allies, or your enemies, that the enemy knows better, and they WILL take advantage of it. be extremely prepared, because this committee is no joke.
That sounds so cool. I'm gonna go to my first crisis simulation on 24th. I hope we get a historical crisis in the future cuz I wanna have some experience before doing such an awesome thing.
