Love this feature. I use it practically all night. There is a browser option to show pop out prelisten widget on your VDJ skin so you can close the side panel. I also assign a keyboard button to "prelisten" in the controller options. That way I can turn it on and off just by hitting that key. Once again why VDJ has all the best ideas for DJs.
Tony Bennardo Is there a keyboard shortcut, too load songs to deck A/B... like in SERATO, you use shift and arrow keys.. does VDJ have that? I just downloaded 2020, and it’s been over 10 years since I last tried VDJ, but I think this time off would be great to get reacquainted with it... I used to use VDJ when I first went digital.. so glad to see all the improvements.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I have an ongoing series on DJNTV called "Music and Mixing". Most of the shows (aside from the 2 most recent) I cover different mixing questions or techniques. How you find them helpful. There are more of both the shows coming soon. ru-vid.com/group/PLha61FaxVNE8b6vAwoTn4YOladiO0ENQf
Pre listen i love it. I use it every event. which is why it is going to be so hard when i get the prime 4. I think in the beginning i will still bring my laptop with VDJ and plug it into channel 3 and 4 via a seperate sound card. Which i would have to do anyway when i have karaoke or Video events. Thanks for the video and keep em dancing
I don't know if this is something you would tackle, but I've been back and forth from serato to vdj ,I'm finding that serato work flow might be faster, such as dropping sample's and moving back between decks, your thoughts
I own and test all of the DJ software out there but probably would never do a compare video. For most DJs it's never going to be "I'll use this software because it best". It’s usually “I use this because I don’t want to change” or “I like that other software but won't use it because of what other DJs might say” Most of the time it's just personal preference. To some people it's just how something looks or where it displays the info or they have always used it and see no reason to ever change. Real DJing to me comes down to what you do with your ears and your hands and that can be done really well or really poorly with any software. I could talk for days about what I like about VDJ but most DJs only want to use what they want to use. Think about how many DJs you know that are still using old versions of either VDJ or Serato and don’t want to update to a new version of the same software.. It’s good that you are trying both out. If you ever have questions about either feel free to message me on any social media, I’m on them all. Thanks for watching.
@@immjyt thx yeah I know. I talked to you about that over the course of a year? I just hands don't love vdj, I do clubs though , an to make things worse I crashed my external hard drive and , had to buy another, but I went with a terabyte, so I'm wondering if the increase in size had something to do with my latency settings , because now both software's will drop out, remember I thought it was my sound card, anyway if you can show me your gain structure and theory that would be nice, I run to hot I know were should I get my base and volume from
@@FlaBlack If you can send me an email or message me on FB and I can better help you that .... but in short I never touch physical or digital gains with VDJ. I check a box in the VDJ config menu called "auto gain and remember". After that I just move the volume slider to full every time on every song and they all sound the same. Message me, we can figure this out together.
