This particular work does not have any pedaling written in. If pedaling is used, it would be sparingly. Accurately reconstructing pedal usage from audio seems like it would be a difficult task in many cases.
I just checked it against several other recordings, definitely seems to be maple leaf rag to me. I have a midi for the entertainer also but haven't had a chance to render it out yet. Was going to try some really complex classical piano first.
@@GregCorson ok , well Scott Joplin recorded/ composed the Entertainer some 2 years later , so that would explain it .you can hear his piano stylings technique running through both pieces.
Hi Greg, I wish to build a stage where there will be a Virtual Piano available to play via hand tracking . As you may assume this experience will be on MetaVerse available with a headset. Have any ide where I can get a 3d Animated and rigged piano for the purpose.. Thank you.
I did not create the piano or the animation for this, and the company that did is out of business. I did look for some piano models. A good starting place might be this www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/en-US/product/virtual-midi-keyboard?sessionInvalidated=true which is a keyboard for unreal that animates in response to pressing keys on a real-world midi keyboard. There are many other piano models available on the unreal marketplace, turbosquid and sketchfab but a lot of them are just nice looking pianos that are NOT rigged for animation, so check this carefully before buying as many of the models cost money. One thing though, playing a piano with just hand tracking is likely to be very difficult if you are just moving your fingers in the air with no keys to actually hit. It won't give the piano player any real reference as to if they are hitting the keys right or with what force. I'd suggest that you have some kind of real-world keyboard in front of the VR user for them to play on, at least for a start. You could either take MIDI notes from that keyboard to drive your animated piano, or you could track the person's hands and just have the keyboard there to give them a real object to hit.
That's very unfortunate, but not entirely unexpected. They didn't seem to have a very good plan for making money from their excellent software. A licensed "pro" version that exported animations for use on your own characters would have been a good idea. Recently ran across a series of RU-vid videos called "pianos are never animated properly" that shows we need a tool like this!
