Would love to see videos on the AI generated backgrounds for LED volumes. That would be something 😊🎉

Vive Mars gets you 95% of the way there, interested to see how their fitz trackers work later on. ARwall ... I looked at it at NAB however my feeling is that this is not for professional use. Unfortunately using Unreal is just a fact of life and adding, basically a player to an unreal scene is just adding another link in the chain. Aximmetry, which you mentioned, is not really another type of Unreal...I see it more as an advanced GUI that lays on top of Unreal. It seems to add an ease of use to working with Unreal. They just don't do a great job of explaining that to the masses.

Thanks for the feedback, Justin. ARwall has a few things they need to differentiate better - there's the Unreal plugin and then there's the box which my impression was it'd be a completely separate app with pre-built scenes that they setup. So you never need to deal with Unreal...I think. But then you're limited to whatever scenes they list on their app. For us, we do a lot of product shots and demo videos, so a generic looking living room or kitchen is fine for most of our uses. But yeah, if you want to do something more elaborate all roads lead to Unreal. And I've been wanting to dig into Aximmetry more. So it's built ontop of Unreal? I tried watching some of their videos and the UI looked just as complicated (to me) as Unreal, so I didn't see an advantage.

@@vp-land Aximmetry, Zero Density and Brainstorm InfinitySet all do a bad job of discussing, in terms that the vast majority of cinema-centric people can understand, exactly what their products do. They all come from the broadcast world and they are transiting into the virtual production world. Which, to be honest, is where they were before. I think of them as interfaces that pull from Unreal, but them encase them in their own software. For instance if you have an Unreal world you need to save it using the Aximmetry wrapper in order to use it inside Aximmetry. There is a thriving marketplace for "sets" built by third parties for use in these programs. Honestly I don't know as much about them as I want to. Vive Mars and Aximmetry have a "broadcast bundle" deal for $8900.00 which shaves off just over $1,000 if they were purchased separately. Zero Density and Brainstorm also sell hardware for their products as well in order to run their software. I really do need to learn more about them.

Problem with ARWall is that everybody will lose their originiality. People are going to have the same scenes in their movies and no movie using this will be unique lol. What people really need is for unreal to become easier and more simple to use for virtual production, i think a.i. will help in the future

Personally I don't think the Mars system can be justified at it's 5k price point considering the core tracking technology is identical to just using a vive tracker, meaning the 5k Mars system has the same fundamental limitations as a $500 - $1000 consumer vive tracker. 10x10m area (with four base stations (only two included) ), subtle noise, etc. Don't get me wrong, I own and love using vive and steam VR products, but if I were going to spend proper professional money on a tracking solution I'd look at something like a Stype, Ncam, or Antilatency which have there own purpose built tracking solutions, not just an overpriced repackaging of an admittedly excellent consumer product.
