Seattle New Year’s Eve celebrations at the Space Needle 2021
For the start of 2021, the regular fireworks show in Seattle was reimagined.
The virtual Sky Mapping show is aiming to bring the audience the story of love, strength and unity in an artistic way as a closure to the hectic year of 2020.
The show was available to anyone through broadcast and stream from the comfort of their home, so the celebrations could be held in safety.

I love fireworks. When I heard about this I was annoyed & skeptical. Then it started & I was transported, somewhere between a dream & childhood awe. I loved it. thank you Terry Morgan & all involved!

And good riddance 2020, and although the artists did a great job and thier creativity captured our minds as we look back over such a year that has throttled us unlike any other year, I want to wish and bless America with a year in 2021 where we recapture all that was lost in 2020, may we rise again and be a people who need not be afraid to stand next to his or her neighbors in the next celebration as we enter 2022, I hope to see the fireworks back at the needle and I wish to see all of you there with me, the Lord Jesus Bless 2021

Now we know our next venture is to make these kinds of light shows possible through technology. Aero light is our future. However we are meant to produce these with our own merkabahs. Look that word up. Peace

I actually look at some other videos of this type of Projection im into this type of stuff yes it is virtual but its all real they are using two big cranes that are holding up a very large transparent Projection screen with very large projectors that are aimed up at it to achieve this very mesmerizing display I love it

That is a good idea to use VFX for new year celebration. Unfortunately can't see it on the sky. It is only on screen. Choosen animations for space needle are wonderful.

This was a full virtual show. Nothing happen at the Needle in real.

This is no more than a screensaver. Why is it being hyped so much? If they did the holographic show onsite then you could say it is something to see but not if they are just green screening it onto an image or video.

Let me put it this way . If it was a screensaver then you should have been able to view it when your computer is on screensaver mode . It may even look like a screensaver to you but to those who put on this show it probably wasn't because bare in mind that people who are experts at this kind of thing have ways of doing things like this without it being a screensaver . Tip: Let's quit jumping to conclusions acting like we automatically know everything because we might turn out being wrong in the end by those who put something on like this .

@@djthereplay Its merely a graphic effect. Screensaver, graphic effect, whatever you choose to call it, it is not something to make headline news since it is a no more than a mere plugin for visual effect programs and apps. Anyone who works in video editing can tell you this.

This is an animation, I understand. But why is there a credit list with 20 people if this is an animation that can be done by a single person? What is so special here?
