To all the commercial farmers out there. I work for a university research farm and i have to sign affidavits every year so that my research results do not contain bias. This i will tell you. 10 mph planting speed is a wonderful goal. However, just because you can singulate at the meter, it does not mean that something does not suffer in one way or another. Whether it's your seed spacing, wear parts on your planter, etc... There is a happy balance in planting speed versus bottom line. I sincerely do not believe it's 10 mph.
John Deere sure had to make it complicated to get the seed spacing right, just get a tried and true Monosem that I'm sure is going to long outlast this thing.
Yeah but you have to be able to plant at 10 mph, so you can farm all the ground in 3 counties to pay for it... make Deere more money LOL:) Later! OL J R :)
