Virtual Tour: Toys R Us [London, Ontario, Canada] 

To us in the States, this is like viewing an alternate reality. "That's a Toysrus, but they have new toys on the shelves. Those things closed years ago"

I would spend an hour or so as an adult just looking at everything when they were still around. It was my chill time from the world. 😑

I never want to hear again how Canada never gets anything 😂 I haven’t seen shelves like this in US in a decade

A wise man once said: "it's not about what is on the shelf, but WHO is on the shelf". It's heartwarming to see so many classic heroes and toys back on the shelf. Masters of the Universe, GI Joe, Transformers, Ghostbusters, Star Wars, Spiderman, Wrestling legends, Lego, Playmobil and more. Fantastic virtual tour Mr. Mercy.

I shopped at toys r us since i was a kid in the 80s all the way up until they closed their doors here in the usa. If they ever reopen, you bet i will still be there. Thanks for the tour michael.

It’s been many years since I’ve seen shelves fully stocked like that. It might’ve been right before toys r us closed its doors here in the states. I live in the LA area and for a few years our shelves have been half empty or worse. I’m glad I discovered BBTS because now my apartment looks like a toys r us, for better or worse lol. It also brings a smile to my face to see your store neat and organized. It shows that the employees as well as the shoppers show great care and pride when stocking the shelves or shopping. That’s something we sorely lack here in the states, pride and respect.

"Oh, don't mind us! We're just the Target exclusive Transformers Worlds Collide box set that you can't find in stores or online taking up two shelves at TRU in Canada." It's like they're taunting me...

Thank you very much for bringing back some memories and supplying the 'feels'. I used to enjoy walking around and marveling at the products. Whether I was interested in them or not, I'd like to see what new thing the manufacturers were offering. I would totally have enjoyed that space biome playset as a child. That store looks so neat and well organized. That's something I'm not used to. Almost anywhere I go now there is such disregard for the product by consumers, with product being strewn about and boxes being opened. It's not limited to just toys. Adults do the same thing to the products, acting with complete disregard and a lack of decency.

This video was emotionally hard to get through. Living without Toys R Us in the U.S., plus the toy aisles in my part of Washington state have always been empty and disheveled. The pandemic has been so difficult to get through on so many levels. Conversely, seeing this many toys in your video in one spot and looking immaculate, feels overwhelming and like a dream. Thank you for making your videos, Michael. They (your videos) and your positive and encouraging attitude have sincerely helped me get through the quarantine. Nerdmaste!

It’s funny, I don’t have the same connection that most kids have with Toys R Us. Back in the 80’s , my home town of Drayton Valley had a family run toy store with the greatest selection of Gi-Joes, Motu, and Transformers. It was rare that we went to the city and shopped there. All the wasted time running around to Walmarts and Targets looking for G.I. Joe Classified figures... I miss Toys R Us so much :)

I cannot believe how clean, and fully stocked , that London location is. We get scraps here in the states. I’ve been to that location. It is extremely well maintained. We miss the Toys R Us experience.

I really miss TRU. I used to go every week. I really wish I could take my kid to see his reaction. He only know about the toy section at the grocery store, and the picked over war zone at Walmart.

It is just amazing; you do not see any empty shelves. And no exclusives being hidden away for the management like with walmart or target like here in the states.

The east London TRU never seems to be as nicely stocked as the west store, but very thankful we still have Toys R Us in Canada.

I still dream of being in Toys R Us in the 80's.

Blown away by the stocked shelves everytime I see a TRU Canada store. Reminds me of the golden days of the 80s and early 90s. Wonder if it's because all the TRU US locations are gone so they can get more product to Canada and have fewer stores to focus on stocking 🤔

Fantastic, was a sad day when Toys R Us closed here in the UK in 2018.. especially in my home town as the local store had just undergone a refit and had only been open a few months.. 😪 sadly very few brick and mortar stores left to purchase goodies from now.

Me and my family went to toys r us one time in 2013 in Tennessee Cordova and I'm still a toys r us kid forever even tho it closed in 2018 it was still my childhood 😢 i wish they stayed open. 😎

It's truly sad how little variety there is in toys now compared to back in the 70's and 80's. And so much of it is based on 80's and 90's toys and movies obviously aimed at adult collectors.

My parents made sure to NEVER take my brother and me to Toys R Us because we would try to buy everything. XD

I grew up there, I have so many happy memories of trips to that store.

Down here we just have to wait for Macy's to open their 'stores within stores' around Christmas for anything like the Toys "R" Us experience. Or I can just stand all day in a Target/Wal-mart's toy section if it didn't look suspicious.

I live in Gettysburg PA, but I want to drive my daughter there when she is a little older so she can get the experience of going to a store just for Toys, such happy memories going there as a kid, it was a big deal because it was a 45 min drive.

As a kid my hometown had a Children's Palace and a KB toys.

Either the shelves are always full because people aren't buying these toys, or they're just THAT good with ordering truck shipments.

Wow. Didn't know Toysrus carried some of the bandai figure rise kits and star wars kits.

I was waiting all last year for MOTU Origins to be released. I didn't want to pay the shipping costs as the plan was to take my boys to the store so they can choose their own. Still not available in my part of the world. So a bit jealous seeing those big displays. Also the Classifieds we only get 3 characters here.

The GI Joe section is like that here in Hamilton.. the Website has Prices slashed on Joe stuff.. what they have in stock and the out of stock stuff also.. I hope TRU Canada is not giving up on Classified and Cobra Island Exclusives!!??

Kinda weird seeing all these people in the comments talk about toysrus in the past. I live in this city and live like 5 minutes from this toysrus lol. There’s also another one on the other end of the city. I feel for the people in the US that lost toysrus, I would hate if we lost it here in Canada as well.

Hi michael. On a side note...are you familiar with Port Colborne? I live in Cincinnati Ohio and I travel there a few times a year and go skydiving at skydive Burnaby. I have been to London a few times and enjoyed it there very much. I have been in that Toys r us a few times myself.
