That guy who has a virus that is going to kill everyone over a certain age and decides its his duty to escape and spread it to the rest of the world seems like a weird protagonist.

This reminds me of the book "the girl who owned a city" . All the adults die and the kids start forming tribes and looking to the older 12 or 13 year olds as leaders. Something like that.. haven't read it since I was 9 but still remember the premise being the same.

I use to watch this old tv series called The Tribe that had a set up like this. A virus killed off all the adults and only the children and teenagers are left alive. Was a really good show.

There is a series of books by Michael Grant named Gone, Hunger, etc (I guess there are 6 books of that [Gone] series). They too follow a similar story where kids become the supremes in their area with the adults transported outside "The Dome". The storyline is great and the writing style captivates the readers. This series is also a great one! Thank you guys!

I work with autistic children… They have an autistic teenager in this series, she is high functioning… She is high functioning, because she is able to listen to instructions, or do anything on her own, this is actually a huge misconception of autistic people… They think they are “clumsy” but the truth is mostly all high functioning autistic kids are very intelligent, it’s just their social skills or some other area that is affected by autism but they are highly intelligent. I’m surprised they didn’t get any backlash for this. She also looked different like somebody with down syndrome, autistic, kids you wouldn’t even know they had autism

I honestly enjoyed this series. I feel like it's a really underrated Netflix gem that got cancelled far too soon. Alongside Santa Clarita Diet. Also, the emphasis on, "Chuck and his B O I S," gave me a good chuckle. The little jokes and sarcasm thrown into these videos really give them a personality. Definitely something that other recap channels tend to be missing due to their whole TTS set up rather than having an actual person give the recaps.

there was New Zealand TV show, THE TRIBE from 90s, with same subject, grownups die, kids live and make tribes that fight each other.

Yeah people are dying of some weird plague but some random pathologist is sitting around in a room full of infectious corpses handling bodily fluids without basic PPE let alone all the gear they wear when dealing with highly infectious agents.
