I love this moments so much because here we have a small glimpse of how wonderful their lives could be if they had put aside their disputes and loved each other...
After this episode i have a strong motivation to create a few videos about Viserys. Probably only now I have fully realised what a great person he was.
His speech during this dinner brought tears to my eyes.
He has done everything to unite the family.

This single scene makes this show much better then Rings Of Power, Witcher or Wheel Of Time. Really touching moment for an old King and his family, which stoped arguing and being CLOSE family for the first and last time in his life. Masterpeace!

I was exactky thinking about these two dramas, and why I don't really like The Rings of Power. Because here all the characters are so real, so alive. They are not perfect, but doing their best and i can totally understand each of them and empathize with them. Whereas in the rings there is so much pathos outside and but it stays somehow empty inside. And does not touch the heart

@@lovetalesedit Yep! 100% Right. That's exactly the main point of good storytailing - realistic characters and their difficult chooses in lifepath. This show also has strong fundamental ground - grey morale. King has no right choose of action - all of them will cause his family blood war. And you even cant say who is evil here - all of them have a reason to do such things. Rings Of Power is about EVIL SAURON and GOOD ELVES. BECAUSE IT IS HOW IT IS and IF YOU dont LIKE it, then you are toxic hater. meh

I truly loved this scene more than any other, because in the end, for a fleeting moment, he got what he wanted, everyone was enjoying the time together, the satisfied look on his face as he looks around was enough to make me almost cry

Very symbolic. Viserys's face that has no mask is on his left, where Rhaenyra's side is sitting down. Also, notice when Viserys leaves, Rhaenyra's side of the table stands up while Aegon does not, Aemond was nowhere to be found, and Otto remains seated.

The last bit where the music starts to kick in and where viserys watches his loved ones one last time always gets me, it reminds me of black flag where Edward walks down the aisles watching his friends one last time
