Thanks for the update , I have a quick question tho , before surgery with glasses and contact lenses what was your visual acuity? You mentioned after surgery it was 2/16 was it just 20/20 before with contacts and glasses ?
With the contacts I was wearing, my right eye was around 20/30. The contacts weren't powerful enough to correct all the way. Left eye, not sure, but a little better than the right.
@@marginallyinteresting I see! thanks for getting back to me. was that the same with glasses? becuase right now with my contacts as well as glasses i can only see around 20/30 with my best eye and my worst eye is a little worse
It was a more complicated picture with glasses. I might have seen 20/20 under perfect conditions with my glasses, but there was no question my vision was better overall with contacts. With a high prescription, when you look anywhere through glasses except the very center directly in front of your eyes, you get distortions. Also, with the high index lenses I was using, there would be weird color separations (chromatic aberration). For example, if I was looking at a shirt with red and blue stripes, it was like I could see the blue stripes float over the red. Just a poor visual experience with glasses.
@@marginallyinteresting amazing I just did some research on chromatic aberration and it turns out I’ve had it all my life, my prescription is around -18 and I never realized that that heat that was! Thanks for the information Ii booked my consultation for tomorrow!
Sir I m from india 10d both 27yr Looking for icl surgery But apprehensive about Cataract (lens opacity) Glaucoma(eye pressure) Icl rotation in case of toric Endothelial cell loss Halos and glare Should I go for it
Hi - the risks are there, but are really very small. You should consult with a doctor as your risk is dependent on your individual eyes. The potential benefits are huge. I was initially terrified but chose to do it and am very happy with the results.
