How did you know how to switch out the firing pin block and how difficult was it? Were there instruction and illustrations from Dlah? Did you find a video here on RU-vid on how to do that? It makes me nervous just thinking about swapping that out!
It was always my dream to have a Beretta 92 since lethal weapon and die hard days…. Finally got a 92X instead of an FS because of the optic cut and front Rail…. Gun is amazing.. my childhood lifesaver brought to life… I immediately started researching an optic mount ……. and that’s when things get crazy….
I have the tanner plate and I just purchased wolf0 but it doesn’t fit the tanner plate. The optic is too big for the plate. I guess I’ll be purchasing the same one you have.
Specs say the Bull is 2.4 oz, compared to 1.6 oz for an SRO or 1.2 oz for an RMR. It's pretty heavy; does make some difference in the recoil but it's not bad.
Thanks a lot for the review! I got the 3rd one WITH laser, and put underneath/6 o’clock M-lok rail (rifle’s handgaurd has M-lok on 3,6,9 positions), no muzzle shadow and the brightness is actually GOOD!
I'm really looking into getting one of these & was considering putting the buis in front of it as you did, just not sure if I'm going straight up or cantilever ADM. Also, thanks for giving the 10yd look, haven't really seen a vid that shows how it looks on closer targets, very helpful.
OR U could reverse the QD mount (release handle facing right side) so the release handle goes forward when locked, it will lease enough space for charging handle. U r welcome😊
I bought 4.6in version 2 months ago. Mags falling out with any flat nosed 10mm, velocity didn’t matter. Sent to SW, after a month they sent back saying replaced mag release. No different predicable mag falling out. I looked at the sharp corner of the metal tab on release protruding into mag. Rounded it off some with a file, fixed it works flawlessly now
So I can confirm through a bit of manual testing that as the rounds move through the magazine while it's fully seated in the gun, they are rubbing against the mag catch. You can see this for yourself if you remove the slide, insert a loaded mag, and finger the rounds up and down in the mag manually. Look at the side opposite the mag release button and you may see it move. Part of me wonders if it would be worth filing down that little piece of the mag catch that protrudes into the mag but I am nervous about grinding off pieces of my gun because if I cut too much then it's screwed.
Excellent observation on those rounds hitting the magazine release. I've been dealing with this issue for a while, ( as well as failure to feed) with the same kind of ammo and hadn't noticed what you pointed out. For me, that means I have to get rid of the gun, because the whole reason I got it was for outdoor 4 legged defense. I hate to see what is happening to S&W but, the facts are the facts. Thank you sir. You may have unknowingly have saved numerous lives.
My 452 is a Varmint model, factory threaded 1/2 x 20unf, came with 5 shot and 10 shot polymer mags and the trigger is adjustable & absolutely perfect withot changing the spring, set to a fraction over 1lb and crisp as can be. Scope use only. Lovely stock and rubber butpad but just ordered a thumbhole stock for it. Lucky enough to have bought it as new, old stock here in the UK. Like the shorter throw of the 457 bolt though...
My p-17 was a pile so i had to send it back got a email yesterday saying its fixed really hope that’s the case cuz I ordered 2 more mags for it a couple days ago from cdnn fingers are definitely crossed I hope the extractor extracts on this one😊
My 452 came with a plastic mag. I got two extra cz 10shot metal mags. A replacement mag here in aus comes in plastic and metal. But for a few buck's more you can double the capactiy of tge mag
