This was a real slow boiler for me originally, growing on me over time although it still seems a little bit lightweight now (and the lyrics are a bit naff) but I can imagine it sounding a lot better when played in a club. As a southern softy I knew almost nothing about the band when I bought the single (purely based upon the cover). The internet tells me that Vision were a band from Sheffield from 1981-1988. They started out life as Spiral Vision in 1981 and had 3 main different line ups and personnel, evolving around Andy Beaumont (keyboardist). Spiral Vision released an EP in 1982 (Dance Macabre), later changing their name to Vision and releasing their biggest dance anthem Lucifers Friend. The band released singles on 12inch and 7inch formats and due to problems never managed to release the album 'Insight' on MVM Records. Sadly vocalist Russell Bonnell passed away in 2000.
Apparently this made #1 in Italy however Vison's only UK chart history is a single, solitary week, reaching #74 with "Love Dance"
