I've learnt the wisdom of spending that bit more the hard way. That's a neat installation and it suits you nicely. We just have a normal telly on the front shelf so we can watch it in the front lounge or when the front bed is made up. Thanks for bringing us along.
Enjoyed your vid. Just swapped our van to an Elddis Supreme from campbells and these are already fitted back and front. Are the vesa tv mounts sold separately and do they have to be vision plus?
Hi Dave, you can by the mounts separately you don’t have to use vision plus however I did have a cheaper mount in our old van and it wasn’t as robust, build quality not up to standard. I would try ebay or amazon. Cheers Martin
Sorry no. All I basically did was mount it on the partition between where the Venetian blind is and the bed. I put washers on the back so it didn’t pull through the wallboard. Having had it there for a while I have noticed a few issues, the partition wallboard is very flimsy and I wouldn’t put a bigger TV on it. It needs more stability on the mounting and needs a rethink. I will be looking at it at some point but at the moment not sure when. Thanks, Martin
@@TheCaravanNut Thanks for the quick response Martin. I did wonder about whether it would pull away and I have a 24" (not 12V) so probably heavier also! I have a Bailey Cordoba with a similar configuration in this area. I might leave it on the stand!
Might be the best option, There’s not a great deal of strong board in the area. I will be looking at ours again at some point so will let you know if I find a solution. cheers, Martin
Hi Guys, I have the same mount and looking to put in the same position in the Unicorn. Any further thoughts on adding stability? I'm thinking a mounting plate on the opposite side to spread the load but can't find much info...
