Are you planning a trip to Waco, Texas?! If not, I sure hope this video inspires you to travel there soon! We were so fortunate to finally visit Magnolia Market! We enjoyed everything at Magnolia from the coffee shop, to the home store and the food trucks to the bakery! Tour Magnolia with me and check out some other must-see attractions in Waco!

I cannot thank you enough for this video. My husband and I are heading to Dallas and are planning a trip to the Silo's in the middle of April. Unfortunately, we are flying in on a Wed and out on a Wed. So hoping Monday or Tuesday will be a good day to drive down to Waco and the lines wont be to crazy. I didn't want to go on Saturday! We have a wedding on Friday. Thank you for all the great tips! We can't wait to go!!!!!!!

Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video. It’s a fun trip! I actually didn’t take home much with limited space in my luggage (although you could ship things for sure!) Funny story, I’m an airhead and bought cute gold utensils on their outdoor tent sale and then forgot about them until I went through security at the airport 😂🤦‍♀️ The TSA lady just laughed at me and let me on the plane with my fork 🤣 I think she knew I wouldn’t hurt anyone 🤷‍♀️ Anywho, funny lil memory. Hope you have the chance to visit soon!

Hello Rustic Honey, pretty cool virtual tour of both, the Chip & Joanna's Magnolia Silos location (I am a fan of the Fixer Upper TV show) and also the Homestead Craft Village as well. It's great to hear the locals in Waco are nice and friendly. One day, I am hoping and praying that I will be able to move and relocate to Texas and leave expensive cost of living California. We live near Waco so this is all very familiar. Being that we are in the middle of a sweltering summer, seeing people in long sleeves reminds me that summer won't last forever and that's comforting. The best season is just around the corner!

I live right outside of Waco and work in town. I used to go into this part of town when my wife's job was there. Now I avoid this area like the plague! Yes, local leaders, media and Chamber of Commerce types have their collective noses up the Gaines' hineys. Most everyone else have little to no use for them.

@@rustichoney Chip and Jo get a lot of the credit (or blame). But was also have several Fort Worth transplants in the upper parts of City Management. And they're trying to turn Waco into that. I lived in the Metroplex for 5 years. The only thing I found up there that was worth a flip I married and brought back here. I still have her too! She's awesome!

Yes, yes 🤦‍♀️ i’ve been called out many times on this video and I apologize for the mistake! I personally live next to a lot of Amish families and I know that there are different “types” of Amish (churches/guidelines/etc) so I made the mistake of grouping them into the Amish family. The Homestead is not Amish. They are technically Anabaptists. It is a closed faith community similar to the Amish and Mennonite so that it easy to misunderstand.

Homestead Heritage is an agrarian- and craft-based intentional Christian community. Its literature stresses simplicity, sustainability, self-sufficiency, ... not specifically Amish.
