I sat behind a Lorry about 3 years ago that said: “I’d rather be in North Devon.” I was driving from my home in North Devon to the airport to emigrate to Australia. I had a cry, not gonna lie. Next month I’m coming home for 3 weeks and I can’t wait!

I live in Bideford, I go wildcamping in Dartmoor and Exmoor and along the SW cost path, so many beautiful places to visit right on my doorstep!

Been going to buy that old house on the cliffs just past Braddock's centre. First saw it in 1964 and my builder said it would be finished in 2 years. Never heard from him again. Maybe my check bounced. Rog.

Visit North Devon as much as you like. And remember that if people keep buying second homes and opening pie in the sky holiday businesses, there won't be any communities left to visit, only ghost towns and villages where no local can afford a mortgage.

That's what's happening, I live in Bideford and the town is nothing like it used to be in the 80's and 90's and yet they say everything improves over the years

My goodness you've summoned them, warr, right lets pull them grockles out of the dung heap they tripped over into, tell them not to trample the crops and under no circumstances are they to stand behind the horses, oh, and they must be very wary of the dangerous rock formations at Hartland quay, Children from my school died on a geography trip there.
